This is a new unit just released from MTU so I doubt if you will find many users here on this forum yet.

One thing I can tell you about their computers is they are built for performance and they only use top quality components. I own one of their Portable PC units and I'm extremley happy with the durability of the unit.

Their systems do cost more but I feel they are worth it. You will get varying opinions on the value of the system due to many of the KJ's on this forum are capable of building their own systems and feel they can save alot of money building their own unit.

I completely agree with those views. If you can build your own system by all means you can save a ton of money....I just wanted to purchase a turnkey system that was built specifically for KJ and DJ work, had bench tested and certified plextor burners and would perform perfectly right out of the box. That is exactly what I got.

I have been a satisfied Hoster user for almost 3 years now and I'm extremely happy with the performance of the software. If you do purchase the system you may want to purchase the upgrade on the software called "Software Suite" it is well worth the money. It has every program they offer and is a real bargain. Eventually you will use every one of the programs.

The laptop you refer to sounds like it can take a beating.

Been using their products since 2001.  I'm on my second MTU laptop.  They are both Prostar units.  My first one I am converting over to regular music.  Haven't had any complaints with any of their products or service.

Got our laptop and importing now have tried it out with my system already MAN THIS IS AWESOME !!! Im soo lovin' life right about now !! Cant wait to do a gig with this ! We'll be able to be much faster in cueing and that wil make the singers happy that they get to sing more in a night. :D  :D
Actually my eyes are crossed already got about 3000 imported another 3000 or more to go! But its so worth it !
Im also adding my dj collection on it too it will be about 17000 songs so I'll be busy for a while. I figure I'll use this time in between gigs to get this done so I'm working day and night on it with my little fix breaks to karaoke scene of course  :)
Thought Id share with some people who would understand my joy. I was talking to a few non karaoke friends today and they JUST DIDNT GET IT !! I love 'em anyways  :)

Kelley,
Congrats on your new CPS,(Computerized Performance System).

You might want to attend this, it's right down the road in Tampa in October. I'll be there to get ideas when I get my CPS. It's a good time to network with other professionals.
