Has anyone done side-by-side comparisons of the leading PC "hosters", to see if there is a difference in the quality of sound coming out of them? Or is this a moot point? Signed, Wondering P.S. I hope this wasn't to controversial. |

The average user can not tell the differance. With 192k MP3's an a high end sound card like a maya 44 I think it sounds better. With outboard gear either can be made tou sound great. In all honesty it's more the system not the source. |

P.S. I hope this wasn't to controversial. I 'm sorry but I think you might be meaning Hosting software as your question actually says there is more than one "Hoster" when there is not. MTU makes the only Hoster out there. all others are karaoke players or hosting softwares. Any other software that calls itself a hoster is illegally using the term as it is now trademarked by MTU. |

Pretty certain they KNOW that Danny, as they had "hoster" in quotes. Everyone I know of that uses a pc for karaoke calls their software a "hoster", much the way people call soda's "coke" (at least in my neck of the woods). I've personally not heard a difference in the four "hosting" programs I've played around with. |

I really haven't tried check out whether not the sound is any different from a mp3+g based song or a ripped to Kma as I have yet to rip directly to KMA, always went MP3+G zipped ripped first so I don't have to access my discs again should my hoster computer go down. But I digress as I have hoster installed but am not using it anyway. |
