What is your favorite Karaoke song to sing? Could be one that gets the crowd going or just a slower more passionate song that you just nail every time?
For me it would be "Rosalita" by Bruce "Da Boss" Springsteen.
The song, although 7 minutes long, seems to always get the crowd going. It's such an upbeat song that everytime I sing it I am bouncing off the walls with energy! And it's a song people can easily sing along with in many different parts.
So what is yours and why?

Right now it would be "Way Over Yonder" by Carol King.... It does nothing for the crowd though so I've only sung it "out" twice!
My favorites change frequently but one that was a favorite for years is "It's Too Late", also by Carol King.... See a pattern here? LOL
Unfortunately I don't think I have one that wows the crowd 'cuz I'm just an average singer but I do get requests for "Boondocks" by Little Big Town, "Don't Bring Me Down" by ELO and "Leather & Lace" by Stevie Nicks. It's nice to get a request but I'm pretty sure it's because they like the song....

Piano Man by Billy Joel. I almost always start off the night with that song. A perfect warm up song, within my range and I actually sound decent singing it. LOL

Ya want me in here changing my answer monthly? haha.... probably not, so I'll just refrain from answering. I have way too many, and they change way too often.
Good thread though.

Well not a show goes by that I don't get ask to sing Sweet Emotion/Aerosmith and Imagine/John Lennon. But not really sure if I have a favorite of my own.
I just kinda get off on the vibe from the audience, hey if they like it, then it's one of my faves...
But now the fun part is sometimes I'll go in early during the day to work up new stuff and you'll find me warming up to some Deep Purple and Judas Priest. Yeah even though I'm about to turn the big 5 0 it's still kinda fun to see which notes I can still hit(and miss). But hey it's all good.

hmmmmmmmm....well now I don't really have a favorite song to sing...I like so many songs and what I feel like singing varies with the mood I'm in... ..plus I'll fall in love with a song for a week or two and then get tired of it and switch LOL
However I do always get requests for Strawberry Wine, Redneck Woman, and Kiss Me Deadly.

The Nine Inch Nails version is a lot better. Not as whimpy as JG.

That "industrial" touch makes all the difference in the world! But the rainbow isn't in color - just black and white. :(

NIN, now we're talking..woohoo, would love to get my hands on some stuff like this.
Is there really such a thing as Industrial Karaoke, if so, please let me know who would have something like this, I would really like to check it out.

Another fave karaoke song is that UPTEMPO version of the Theme From Titanic, 'My Heart Will Go On". I've heard a couple people sing this one. When I think about sinking ships, I just gotta dance I tell 'ya. LOL

I tend to get tired of a song once I've sung it a few times... but an old favorite that always seems to get a great response is 'Son Of A Preacher Man'.. :dancin:

I'll bet you do get to see some great reactions!!! The jaw dropping to the chest is probably the best!

My favorite has to be "Because the Night" - Patty Smith version or "Awake" by godsmack for my metal moods which are usually prevalent . Although recently I was playing with my Phillips Union Vanilla Whiskey and did "Ace of Spades" the Motorhead version and that was rather interesting...got myself going anyway .
