Have original CD with/without lead track and typed up lyrics to match.  Need someone to sync up lyrics to the songs (10 of them) and burn me a CDG and about 20 copies.

This is your own music that you made?  Making 20 copies of someone elses work is very illegal.

Do you do that kind of work?  I do not have any equipment nor do I want to buy any.  I am a singer/songwriter and produce/record/publish my own cds.  I am looking to take one of my CD's and turn it into a useable karaoke cd that others can sing by following the lyrics on a monitor while they sing.

Thank you for the idea but this would only be a onetime event.  I am a songwriter/singer and produced my own cd.  I wrote both music and lyrics and would like to get a CDG made that others can follow the monitor and sing my songs in niteclubs, etc.  I would rather find someone that is really good at doing this sort of thing.  I can supply everything that they would need.  CD with lead track, CD without lead track, typed out lyrics to all 10 songs.  Are you able to do this sort of thing and would you be interested?

Thank you for your response.  I can assure you that my CD is completely original.  I wrote the music and lyrics to all 10 songs.  They are copyrighted and published.  All that I want to accomplish is to provide an opportunity to others to be able to sing my songs in karaoke bars using the monitor and the words flashing across (like typical karaoke).  I believe this is what a CDG accomplishes.  If you know anyone who has the equipment and could help me with this project, let me know.  Thanks.

Unfortunately, this type of work takes a lot of time and I would be surprised if you get any takers from this forum to do this. I don't know if you can find someone who is a professional at doing this but that would be my best bet. Maybe you can approach one of the companies that creates karaoke discs, like Soundchoice or Sweet Georgia Brown and ask them to do it for you. They may do it but probably will charge you a lot of $$ for it.

It may end up most economically, both finacially and time wise to do it youself. There are software available out there for less than $100 that you can learn and do it on your computer. It's not that difficult to do but as I said, it takes a lot time and effort to make it right. One more thing to look for is have someone do one copy and make copies yourself, rather than asking for 10 copies. Just some suggestions.

I spoke with Sound Choice and they only deal with large scale distribution of CDGs.  They basically told me that they don't 'make' the CDGs but only distribute.  I will try Sweet Georgia Brown and see if they have a 'production' operation.  Thanks for your help.

I could do it. Where are you located. I've done about 200 original cdg's so far and it is time consuming. But nothing comes for free. Email me an offer.

Most of those companies use very close to the same softawre being sold to us nonprofessionals. Pop Hits Monthly has used Karaoke Pro which is a more profressioanl version of MTU's Home Producer, which is a very easy software to learn on compared to the others out there. There is also Karaoke Builder Studio, Dart Karaoke studio, and Power Karaoke Plus that are all good  programs for creating CDG songs.   Out of those choices, Dart has the hardest learning curve.
The only things you can do with Karaoke Builder and Power Karaoke that you can't do with Home Producer is having different colors for duets. Otherwise they are pretty much the same.

robdog, I thought I sent an email to you.  I guess I didn't do it correctly.  I am not sure how this forum operates.  Anyway, if you get this, I had said earlier the following:  I wanted to know what kind of equipment you had.  How long you thing it would take to do 10 songs.  Would the results be compatible to the typical karaoke machine that one would find in a niteclub (music in stereo and words synced on monitor).  You had suggested earlier that I could do it myself.  What is the cost?  What is the learning curve?  I know this is many questions but it is new to me.  I am trying to get enough information so that I can make an appropriate decision.
