Post subject:  Cross Post From KJ Forum - Help With Eminem Stan Lyrics

Frustrating search.  I've tried the Music Maestro, Sound Choice (unedited and radio edit), and Top Hits Monthly versions.  All three (OK four) versions leave big chunks of the second and third verses out of the song.  Sound Choice has the best faux Dido backtrack, Music Maestro has the best car going over the bridge and screaming girlfriend sound effects.  In the seconc verse, here are the lyrics missing:

Remember when we met in Denver - you said if I'd write you
you would write back - see I'm just like you in a way
I never knew my father neither;
he used to always cheat on my mom and beat her
I can relate to what you're saying in your songs
so when I have a S####Y day, I drift away and put 'em on
cause I don't really got (@$%&#!) else so that (@$%&#!) helps when I'm depressed
I even got a tattoo of your name across the chest

In the third verse here are the lyrics missing:

You know the song by Phil Collins, "In the Air of the Night"
about that guy who coulda saved that other guy from drowning
but didn't, then Phil saw it all, then at a show he found him?
That's kinda how this is, you coulda rescued me from drowning
Now it's too late - I'm on a 1000 downers now, I'm drowsy
and all I wanted was a lousy letter or a call
I hope you know I ripped ALL of your pictures off the wall

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.  Companies that I am aware of that have Stan in print:

1)  Pocket Songs
2)  Pop Hits Monthly (Hip Hop)
3)  Backstage (off of their 73 Disc pack)
4)  Backstage (disc 02)
5)  Top Tunes
6)  Sunfly
7)  Sound Choice (unedited and radio edit)

The missing lyrics above are consistently missing in all four versions I've tried and/or own in my library.

ARGH!

Me, that's why I'm asking.  Your comment was constructive how?

Just don't have any use for 99.999% of M&M in my books.    Nothing personal.

I can understand that sentiment. (By the way, it's "Eminem," real name, Michael Mathers, Not M&M, or "Slim Shady!") LOL  A lot of people find his lyrics highly offensive and don't like rap music, but I can appreciate his rapid-fire delivery, his complex rhyming schemes and his clever use of language, even if I don't like his message. He's very good at what he does. I've been known to sing "The Real Slim Shady" a couple of times myself.

Anyway, the point is that, for whatever reason, Outdoorplaces wants a complete copy of the song "Stan." Your original response wasn't really helpful. Actually neither was mine, but I couldn't fight the urge to respond. Sorry ODP! LOL
