Problem finally solved.

I had tried many things, like signal amplifiers, new coax splitters, etc.  Nothing would help get me a clear signal to the TVs. (3 of them)...

So I get up in the ceiling where the cables are all run, and they are all old and crappy coax cables with a bunch of different connections and splitters... Needless to say, I purchased 3 more 12 foot RCA cables, and 2 RCA Y connectors and a $10 Radioshack A/B switch  with two coax to RCA connectors to be able to switch from the laptop to the JVC CDG Player.  All works perfectly fine.  VERY clear pictures.  One TV had a slight problem with signal interference from a neon Bud Light sign....turned off the sign and all was good.  :hi5:

Thanks to everybody that replied and tried to help me out.   :worship:

Oddly enough I didn't even need any kind of signal amplifier.

congrats frank.

sadly, one of the things that bothers me is that when you go into an existing system, you spend a lot of time tracking down their previous install problems. Tig told me when he worked at "the dragon", the first thing he did was go in and rewire it... mostly cause he didn't want to have deal with sound problems on his watch.

I've never had to hook into a house music system, only the video, and had plenty of problems there, tracking stuff down.

good job dude!

I can understand why that would be one of the last things you would want to check, as you never know what you could find up there..... :O

It's amazing, the kinds of patches, bandaids, and wiring techniques I have seen and had to work around or fix....

Thanks for the update on what you found !!

The danger of getting into a house system is that you fix ONE thing and it reveals a dozen or more other problems in the system.  In a house system you have to realize that you are inheriting every single person's idea of how the system should be wired that came before you.  You also have the problem of some managers/owners who won't pay to have things wired correctly because, in their view, the system works fine and that it is your problem to deal with.  Good luck and hopefully fixing the video lines doesn't reveal any worse problems hidden above the ceiling tiles...- tig

Well, this club is OLD.  The building itself dates to the early 19-teens I think.  The club has been here since 1977...same owners.   They used to have house bands playing here, DJ booths set up in different areas of the bar, etc... so there are wires running endlessly up in the ceiling.  Lots of them no longer connected to anything!  All of the wiring to MY part of the system (sound and 3 TVs on my side of the bar are now wired correctly. (the old mixer and speakers were RIGGED in the worst ways)  The TV's on the bar side of the club are old crappy coax, with splits every where... I am suprised that they don't have more problems with it...YET.

Thanks for all the replies...
