I'm interested in a Vocopro DVG-909K dual deck karaoke player and pair it with the Vocopro VP-300 amp. The question is, if this is supposed to be "pro" equipment, why doesn't the player offer 1/4 inch or XLR outputs to connect to the amp. And why don't amps offer true 1/4 inch connectors to hook up to speakers instesad of the typical home type bannana plug connectors. Most of the pro speakers use 1/4 inch. I don't get it. Alan |

It really isn't considered "pro" equipment by the people who actually use pro karaoke gear - professional karaoke companies! Banana connectors are pro style connections, however 1/4 inch is more standard but even those are going to be considered inferior compared to the new standard of Speakon connections. |

If you answer the following questions we can better zero in on a few choices for you: What type of discs will you be playing? Home or Professional Use? What speakers will you use? |

I'm considering the following: Speaker: http://www.americanmusical.com/item--i-YAM-BR15.html Amp: http://www.savinglots.com/lotprod.asp?item=KA-2000 or http://www.americanmusical.com/Item--i- ... --d-2.html Haven't decided on the player yet. |

with the KA2000 you would be under powering those Yamaha Speakers and the same with the Samson amp. The speakers you chose are of good quality but you need to power them with a good match on the amp. I will research a little and get back to you. As far as the player you cant go wrong with the JVC Triple Tray Player which can be had for less than $300 and will provide you many years of home or professional use. Do you have a set budget for amp, mixer, player, and speakers? What would be your top dollar you would want to invest? |

Thanks for the input, Flipper. I think I'll get this system: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/ ... sku=630119 As far as the JVC/RSQ 3 disk player, if you can find me anyone who still has it, let me know and I'll buy it in a minute. |

that is the exact powered mixer I use for my Fri-Sat gig. Speakers are different but you will be very happy with this setup. JVC has a single tray setup as well. They (ace karaoke) currently show the triple tray as out of stock but it does not say discontinued yet. Other sites I checked did say that though. I'm excited for you!! you will have a nice system keep us posted when you get it! |
