Post subject:  Renaissance people??
Anyone here into the whole Renaissance thing???  We have a really big Faire starting tomorrow runs for a couple of months....I'm going for opening day in full garb...Does anyone else do this crazy thing???

Personally, I love the era and have attended a few Ren Fair around here. However, I would not dress up for those things. I think that's going over board for myself. I do love seeing, and admire people, who do dress up and act out their fantasies like that. My fantasy is a bit different. It involves a large marble floor room and veggie oil... Oops said too much.

I have a couple of friends in Mississippi that do the SCA on a regular basis.  I would like to attend one someday, never have enough time.  The local chapters here i've been told aren't as authentic as a bunch of the younger crowd dresses in goth styles.

I will remember not to dress as a large marble floor with veggie oil while I am around you...and that was going to be my halloween costume this year...Darn... LMAO

I will be dressing up for the first time this year...I have been collecting costume pieces for a couple of years..Maybe I'll get a pic and post it...

when I was back in Kansas City and in Atlanta, Georgia, I loved it. Even Jousted once!

It's one of the few things I'm looking forward to in going BACK next month!
