Yep, I hear ya. Anastasia (the dark haired judge) is just dumb, lacks credibility in everything she says, and I think her main reason for being a judge is to show of her hooters.

And Sara Evans did stink. Really bad. I kinda felt bad for her... she didn't hit anything right!

Lol... I think I'm just disapointed with seeing Sara sing live for once and then she didn't do very well. I don't want her to turn out to be a "studio - made" voice.

OMG Mandesa got kicked off? She's a freakin' powerhouse! I loved her.... sobbing Ahem.. anyhow, I also love Chris and, yes, vibrato - happy Elliot. C'mon, the man has substantial hearing loss and sings better than the majority of contestants. His technique is just awesome and he can pretty much sing anything. But I truly believe Chris' unique style should win him this competition. What a shame that Mandesa went though. She was def the best female voice on the show...

Mandesa's problem may have been her song choice. Chris is great, but does a unique style "sell" (if you have to hit, make it on the right arm, I'm left handed). Taylor is still great, but can his looks "sell" (just don't hit too hard)? I think I still like Katherine for a female vocalist.

Female vocalists, I like Katherine as well. Also like Paris too...Chris should win this thing hands down, although I really like Taylor. Mandisa is good, but remember it is a popularity contest, not so much a singing contest. Besides, her Any Man Of Mine was frightening. Bucky should go next week, although it could be Kellie. Can't quite picture her doing any Queen songs, but who knows? Chris, Taylor, Ace and even Elliott should do well this week.

I had a feeling Mandesa might get it. In my other post I said she had to bring it every week or she would be in trouble. She is a big girl and a lot of people can't look past that. She picked the wrong song and people weren't willing to remember how good she's been in the past. Kathern and Taylor hicks I like, but I to think Chris will run away with it. Taylor has to start picking better songs or he is in real trouble too. His uniqueness is running thin. Paris rocks, but I don't know if her look will hurt her. I'm sure Bucky, Ace and Elf boy will go before any of them.

I'm probably the ONLY one who's happy she's gone? I didn't really like her. True, elf boy (I don't know his name) needs to get gone. And that one guy..... who thinks he has the "hot look"..... dunno his name either. HE looks like he's trying to give a "pouty" look every time he's singing? I wish they'd get rid of him too. And little miss hee-haw? She's pretty good, but I think she's 99.9% fake. Heck, I don't even like the style of most of the music they sing on there..... maybe I should just go back to NOT watching the show? :yes: It's hard to judge music you don't listen to/don't like/don't understand.

I am referring to the little guy with the big ol' ears. I dunno about other people. But, yeah, I think he is the same guy that tries to vibrato everything he sings. I don't watch the show all that carefully, I really lose interest in it too quickly. The only reason I've watched it at all (past the try out sessions, , which I never miss...) is cause my hubby switches the TV to that as soon as Nashville Star is over. I personally, like Bucky, because he tends to sound country. But that's not a fair assessment for an AI show. I also really like (what's the name...what's the NAME?!?!?).... Taylor? Gray hair guy.... Cause he's different, and he sure can entertain a crowd. Though his country week song choice was pretty blah-blah. Ticks me off to hear them say "Sounded like a karaoke performance"..... haha, that's pretty dang much what they're doing!! And I've heard people at karaoke that would blow those guys away. I'm sure each & every one of the singers on there have done their share of karaoke. What really irks the hail outta me....... is Simon putting down country music. That's the biggest ACT if you ask me. He's the one who pushed so hard fro Carrie Underwood to win the last one..... as she deserved to IMO. But, it's funny, that he swore by her..... and I really think she's gonna make the biggest impact of anyone who's won AI...... and she's on the "country" charts. And for all he says country "is not music", and "takes no talent"..... I sure didn't hear anybody there this week who could pull it off very well. :no: He's good at critiquing singers (usually)...... but he's a sad case for a man. He's so vain. Gawd, for ONE day to be able to sit in Paula's seat next to him. LOL I imagine it would end in my arrest.

Yeah, I agree. There are tons of "karaoke" singers that I've heard who have amazing talent, just not the dream to pursue a singing career, and they could easily kick butt on American Idol. I must be the only Elliot fan in here. I just can't look past his technique. Kelly doesn't really wow me, though she did do well on "Fancy." And I liked Bucky when he sang that superstitions song, but I can't understand what he says most of the time. And honestly, I think that country gets a bad rap because some people think that ALL you have to have is a "country" sound to make it in that genre, when in reality, a great singer is so much more than just the twang in their voice. Bucky could never compete on NS. Neither could Kelly. They'd be one of the first voted off, imo.

Sara Evans, she's a local here.... lives up close to my sister, in Jefferson. (half hour from me).... and I've heard a bit locally..... that she's very stuck up and rude. I usually love to hear her...... she has a new video on AOL music..... called "Coal Mine", she's just awesome. But yeah, she was SO off key on expecially those high notes...... and scary thought..... she didn't seem to hear them, atleast she didn't correct them at all. (and it couldn't have been "the sound system"...cause the talent contestants did okay....??) Of course, I wont believe everything I hear until I see if for myself, but who knows? She could be bratty, she might be a nice person. Hmmm....... I'll have to check out that lady's hooters. :whistle: Haven't really paid any mind to them. (or.... just can't see them past her unnecessarily swelled head) LOL
