you might try a non.net version of mp3toolz... do a google search, you may find someone with the pure program. look for "toolz.exe"

Look for an old 2.0 era version. It will work alot better.

As long as you stay with .net 1.1, mp3+g toolz work perfectly fine.

I found one called Troubador (sic?) that seems to work well-- but I think it depends on toolz though-- I think they have an add-on for zip files with mp3+g stuff in it.

If it's a newer version of mp3+g toolz you have to install dotnetfx.exe to make it work properly.

Blade encoder will change wav to mp3 at 128 if that's what you are trying to do, it's also a plugin for total recorder and will record any length of songs. Also nero cd burner v5.5 has a thing in the "ahead" folder that is a wav editor, it will add effects and do eq quite nicely as well as cut the click track or silence from the ends of files if you are using midi files for backing tacks. It also does fadein fade out.
hope this helps you a bit.
