not the loud squeel but a high pitch hiss or a sound bordering on feed back..pull back volume it goes away, does it more at one location (maybe arangement of spks etc. been there 2 years same setup, just noticed sound) my equip. has seen years of hard use, could it be somthing is going south. Have mackie cfx12 (main volume near max..mice gain at 12oclock fader at 50%) no problem with music sound or volume) bbe 22 all four settings at 11oclock, crown ce2000 wide open ( Pair sp2 and pair jbl1500....using a pair of no name uhf wireless for about 3 years, still seem ok.... sure would appriciate any suggestions you might offer....if I put another ce2000 in this system would it give me more clean volume using same spks ?? I want cleaner and louder singer volume, what do I need to do ?? |

If you have your volume set to near max on the CFX somethings wrong. I only run mine at 1/4 to 1/2 & is plenty loud to get over the crowd noise. I would set all channels to unity. The mic gain at 12 is about right. Set the mic channels to use sub group 1 - subgroup button 1 & 2 on the channel pushed in & panned hard left. Set the music to use sub group 3 & 4 - subgroup button on the channel pushed in & panned straight up (if using stereo channels). If you run mono then just set all the subgroups left & right buttons down. Turn the sliders up to about unity to start. The gains on the music channels won't need to be nearly as high as the mic channels (usually). Then start with the main volume turned down low enough & progress up from there. |
