Most of us have a distinct line that cannot be crossed. I know I have a couple, not very many really. But i tell you what the one thing that drives me nuts and really offends me (I am not sure why) is when I am sitting at home with my 3 sons and husband are with me. We are relaxing and watching TV.
All of a sudden here is this woman saying that she just LOVES her Stayfree days or what ever brand it is. Arrg....we all know it is something that the majority of women have used at one time, but I really don't need to see an advertisement about it during primetime.
Does anyone remember the one where the boat sprung a leak and the girl used a feminine hygeigne product to plug the hole...arrrg!!! to me that was way over the line...
Different people have different things that bother them...For instance my hubby just can't stand the Charmin commercials with the bears in the woods..He finds that offensive...I think it is so darn funny, I laugh everytime they show one of them...
What bugs you???

If we're talking commercials, the animated laxative commercial...Dulcolax, I think...bugs me...the woman being tossed in a blanket...it's just WEIRD!!
Of course, the "man-love" we saw over in the corner at Scuba Joe's wasn't much fun either, if we're talking live-action stuff!! :puke:

I am pretty confident you are one of the only girls I know that does like her Stayfree Days.... ..I may have to get my depends on...
Dave, I don't know what I would be called but I can tell you that that guy/guy thin does bother me but the girl/girl thing doesn't so much. If race discrimination is racism and age discrimination is...well.... age discrimination...what would this be???...I do know it does bother me....But then again I think if you are going to examine someones tonsils you should really do it in privite no matter what your preference is for your mate.

Orientationism?
I agree with you...there ARE acceptable PDAs, but Tonsil Hockey should generally be kept private...now, I'm not saying a nice kiss isn't good...but dayum...don't show it ALL off!!

What offends me?....
That would have to be when I was brushing my teeth and my wife would come in and make a noisey/smelly "movement" ....And then do the pad/plug thang or whatever ....That's when I completely moved out of the master bath and just gave it to her...From then on I used the hall bath-it was mine, she had her own.
This topic sux....will someone please hijack this thread?

Ummm.....YEAH..... stupid commercial. I think some of the most offensive are the ones that advertise powder- or soap- or fabric softener- and use a baby's naked butt to get the point across. I mean, who wants to grow up and be known as a "star" because their butt was on TV when they were 6 months old? Quote: ...For instance my hubby just can't stand the Charmin commercials with the bears in the woods..He finds that offensive...I think it is so darn funny, I laugh everytime they show one of them...
Hahaha.... No comment here. For some dang reason, ALL of their commercials have always offended me. LOL

In our house the bathroom is sacred. We have two and itf one is occupied you go to the other. Never are two people in the bathroom together while taking care of business....The occational joint teeth brushing goes on ...but when it's time for business...gross..one person at a time.....
Keith don't worry this thread will get hijacked soon...You know it's just a matter of time.....

Who ever decided years and years ago that teeth brushing should occur within a few feet of the toilet had the WRONG idea!

Well, you didn't have my mom for a mother....When we kids were real small, she would give up a cup of water and have us brush our teeth OVER the toilet...She was a neat freak and didn't want us spitting in the sink or on the countertop I guess.
Nice thang about living in the sticks...I tinkle outside most of the time. Us guys can stand up and do it...girls get their shoes wet if they try

I live alone...
But I have signs up all over....
"Kappy, Please lift the toilet seat first"...
"Kappy, Remove hair from the sink, I'm not your mother"
"Kappy, You didn't make the bed"
It makes me thankful I'm not married !!!

Small things dont offend me anymore I am at the age that I realize and know the important things in life. But here are some that offend me.. A person whos is in the juvenile stages of spiritual development yet wants to preach, judge, and try to change the world and society with laws and fantasized mores based on movies media and not real life... Someone who is brainwashed and considers political correctness as religion and has no tolerence for other religions tribes or anybody who doesnt think like they do.
But the thing that offends me the most are the politicians at the city county state and national level who are prostituted by by money interests and those that put a dollar amount on friendship needs life bare necessitys and even love. For they are caught up in the mania which has gripped this nation and others. If you cant buy love how in the hell can you fix the world with unlimited spending?
In short I am offended by those that have dropped the old traditions and live by the new dog eat dog hooray for me and to hell with everybody else ways. KARMA WORKS!!!!

What truly offends me is the way the health insurance industry and drug manfactors have a strangle hold on our nations health care system. Simply, health care should be a right not a privilege reserved for the few that are lucky enough to have insurance or that can afford it. The fact is fewer people can afford it everyday.
When I'm talking about health care I'm including Eye and Dental care. We want people to work. People with teeth and those who can see tend to get hired first in our service oriented economy.
So therefore, in an attempt to profit from this unfortunate situation and also help to solve the dilemma, I propose a new (well not so new) product......."Used Teeth".....
Old dentures previously thrown away could be used again......they could be sterilized and tried on by the customer till there was found a close fit ....then they could be adjusted and relined........while the toothless customer receives a significant savings and a better life......

Well, until Americans wake up and realize that the insurance companies and pharmecutical companies OWN our government, and CHANGE that ......... as Karyoker has said so well; Quote: But the thing that offends me the most are the politicians at the city county state and national level who are prostituted by by money interests and those that put a dollar amount on friendship needs life bare necessitys and even love. For they are caught up in the mania which has gripped this nation and others. If you cant buy love how in the hell can you fix the world with unlimited spending?
..............We most likely will NEVER see universal health care in America... although it IS what this country needs the most. As long as, as a nation, the majority continue to elect individuals who have lost the concept of "seperation of church and state" ... and who carry these insurance companies "in their political pockets' ... NOTHING will change... and quite frankly... the gap between the rich and poor will continue to grow exponentially!! It already has... and it is getting frighteningly bigger. I recall about 10 yrs ago thinking "hey, Im truly "middle class america" ... given my salary and the "national average" ... and the "salary used to determine poverty level in this country. Welllllllll...... guess what... my salary hasn't changed a heck of a lot in that time... but our country financially has .... and NOW ... the poverty level "salary" is very close to mine. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT PICTURE???
Keith.. can't say I'd go for recycled dentures ... but ... I do hear ya about your plight with health care. Funny thing is ... I HAVE health insurance .. and it does include some dental and optical coverage... but the thing is, the copays are now soooo high .. that I STILL can't afford to go to dentist, or even the doctor .. and most definately not the pharmacy without it costing me close to $150 outta pocket, when all is said and done. Can't speak for all ... but I simply don't have that kind of "extra" money hanging around just because I have strep throat. And... my "hubby" who is really my domestic partner... has NO insurance ... and to add him to my policy... it would cost us nearly 350 a month, which we can't afford .. because while EVERYTHING else has gone UP (prices) ... our salaries have either remained static or, in the music business area .. gone down due to a number of variables... most of which have to do WITH the economy.
So... even with what many call "decent" health care coverage ... seeing medical professionals is still basically terribly expensive and nearly unaffordable for me, as well ... and not an option for my domestic partner. Scary thing, huh?
