OK...I'm rewiring a Shure 55SH Series II for a KJ friend of mine...but the wiring inside is so deteriorated, only the yellow wire is connected to the jack. So, I have two wires that I don't know the placement of...black and blue. It's a standard mic-plug connector, three pins...the yellow wire is tied to the pin at the apex of the triangle. So, which wires go where? |

Yep, Lil Mizz Attitude is a wiz when it comes to intricate and technical detail. Remind me to ask her whether it's a good idea to keep the same avatar photo of myself when I change my nickname here in hopes of establishing some anonymity <sorry..Lil AnonyMizz how could I resist> |

So, my hair is dyed a BIT darker than natural in that photo, I'm naturally kinda brownish/brunette with strawberry highlights....... so........ As part of my de-skies..... should I go blonde, true red, black? Hmmm, decisions, decisions....... |

You darkened your hair ? Um, no.... well, it's darker than my NATURAL color. But I haven't dyed it today...yet. I'm surprised (really) that you recognize me at all in my new pic. Dang, are the hat & shades not enough? What's a gal gotta do? I don't have any wigs. I do however have a kinda ski mask..... that would cover most of my face. Hmmmm..... Can you REALLY tell it's me? Or are you pretending? (since I PM'd you & you already KNEW it was me?) Just don't give me away to anyone, okay? Thank ya. |

Quote: And please, don't tell me I look 40 or somethin' like that.
40 ? What's old about 40 ? Wait until you get INTO the 40's. It's the decade when some of us noticeably start falling apart not just in terms of endurance, that just started deteriorating around 40, stamina started suffering, but strength was still there at 40.... Around 37 I had to quit the Martial Arts because I was getting injured at a much faster rate than my recovery...Sprains, bone bruises, cracked bones didn't heal well. "No Pain no gain" no longer applies when you get into your later 30's... Ignoring certain things can seriously %&#($ you up... Yet as a teenager and 20 year old, all pain left shortly...Yet when injuries in the late 30's did heal finally, arthritis remained, I became too afraid of hurting something permanently, and not being able to play guitar or a few of the instruments I like, rebond hand injuries, broken wrists were something I feared terribly as a life-long musician..Plenty I knew were breaking bones left and right.. At around 37 I was at a great stage for permanent injuries... because I was still strong and fast, yet recovery rate REALLY slowed down..injuries didn't heal quickly, I'd get hurt at a much faster clip, than I'd recover from older injuries... I was limping half the time from hurt feet, legs, really aching, and black and blue..A few years later the thing I hated was I had to stop weight lifting, all impact sports, and realized I was getting hurt in bars arm-wrestling the kiddies when I reached around 45..Really hurt my shoulder a few times, pinched a nerve in my neck, and hurt the lat muscles... Funny thing is arm was fine, yet now I'd probably crack my wrist, I think sometimes the muscle is tougher than the bone density.. Something I loved doing, and even did for money in my 20's.. Boxing will never happen again... Did that in HS, and College.... Some things we just MUST accept we can't safely do any longer once we get into the mid-40's... Scary thing is, in the mid-40's we STILL feel we can do all of it mentally, and that can be dangerous ! We have the mentality of the young kiddies we once were, but our bodies aren't there anymore... At 45 strength started to go, 48 eye's started going, and going fast. I never needed glasses, now everything is blurry without magnivision glasses..Still haven't been to the eye doc, I don't like docs...... hair started thinning more last few years too...and I could no longer eat all the crap I enjoyed cramming down my throat without there being ramifications from eating junk... What else ? Hmmm..... I can't possibly deteriorate in the next two decades as much as I did in the past decade.... 40 really was the start of getting old physically for me. Now I no longer feel young physically, this year I feel my physical youth ended. Now there's no doubt mentally, that I'm older and frail.... I won't deny what is... Age happens whether we like it or not.. THis crap was supposed to happen to other people, not us Only thing I'm still too young for, is too get married, take up Golf, and Bingo. OK, I'm really bummed, time for bed ! OK, no more tech thread polluting for me.. this is wrong. |
