He got out of the federal pen real close to my house this week...He's a bad one...serving life plus for murder....This is his 4th escape from different pens....Folks are running around loaded for bear looking for him...helo's circling all night...they keep spotting him, but can't catch him....I guess I'll load the guns and get out in the woods...I got nothing better to do today.
Here is a link to one story about him.
http://www.thetowntalk.com/apps/pbcs.dl ... 06025/1002
Here is another where one of our dufus local cops had him but let him go...has great video of the whole event!

Wow, that video clip is something else! The officer is just too friendly and gullible.
At any moment I thought he'd offer to buy the convict some lunch or something. LOL But in the officer's defense, it sounds like he didn't have a lot of solid descriptive details to go by. The escapee is pretty cool, calm and collected too.

Yep, he is a true con artist!...The funny part is that the video was taken not even 100 yards from my boss's house....My boss said he didn't get a wink of sleep that night after seeing the video on the news....He was spotted several hours later trying to steal a car not a 1/2 mile from me, so that means he was headed my direction.
I smell like gun oil...I just got them all cleaned, oiled and loaded...Me n Robbie are going to eat and then camp out and wait for him....There is a 10K reward for him now....All we got to do is watch the horses...they hear better than dogs...if their ears rotate toward the woods, we will know something is out there.
If he gets past my hood and into the deep woods, he's history...There ain't nuthin but pine trees for many miles to the north of me with plenty of water and wild stuff to eat...there is the river and train tracks to the east, and he would be better off headed that way cept he ain't familar with the area.

In the video, if I'm hearing correctly, he gives the cop two different names!!
At the beginning of the video, he says his name is Robert Jones...and about 3 1/2 minutes in, when the officer asks him his name again, he says it's Jimmy Jones.
Sorry...but in that situation, that's something that shoulda been a GIGANTIC red flag...20/20 hindsight, of course...but...
This McNair guy IS good..."appropriately" nervous for an "innocent" man wondering why he's being talked to by a cop

Yep, the cop is known to be a dufus....he is really stupid....the guy is best suited to write speeding tickets....they(town of Ball) have a speed trap set up that has grossed them tons of bucks over the years...That is all the guy is good for...
Our Sheriff's department and state police are really professional tho..If they get a bead on him, he is history.....Friend, trust me, you don't want to be hunted by the Rapides parish Sheriff's department or the state police in this area...They are like raging bulls who think they are bullet proof.

I noticed that as well. The cop isn't perceptive enough. Yet perhaps the heat had something to do with that. Yet still, that to me seemed like a VERY basic slip-up the cop should've called backup on...They claim in the description "Couldn't match his description because of fuzzy fax". Thing is 114 degree's is hot. Hard to think straight. Quote: cept he ain't familar with the area.
He might be... If he escaped, how hard would it have been to get a map of the area or plan an escape route ?

Shoot first then ask questions later. LOL Just kidding. I hope they catch him. Not only it's dangerous, it's annoying as well. We have a high securty prison near me and it's situated near a major highway. For some strange reason, when they escape, they run across the highway. It doesn't happen often, once every few years, but when they do the authority shuts down the highway while searching for him. Imaging a place where there is bumper to bumper traffic most of the day, shutting down the highway is not a good idea.

That guy is smooth...I'll be locking my doors and windows tight until he is caught..It's not unusual for them to end up in the DFW area and he said he was from here so he may be headed here.
Keith you and Robbie becareful and shoot first and ask questions later....

Keith you and Robbie becareful and shoot first and ask questions later.... Heh, heh...I always shoot first, then ask questions.....First question is always, "What's your name?"...followed by, "Do you have a ride home, or should I call you a cab?"...
Been outside all day with the horses....It's been a really nice day....me n Robbie are going to get a case of beer and build a fire and stay outside all night with the horses....If the wind lets up, we will go fishing tomorrow. I'll post today's pic of the Appaloosa in a new thread in a minute.

Quote: After his arrest, authorities discovered poems and short stories by McNair in which he described shooting people in their eyes to watch them die, he said.
"It's kind of an embarrassment to everybody," said Keelan about the informant turned criminal.
Keelan said McNair was brought into the police station in handcuffs, but he used lip balm to lubricate his hands. He slipped out of the handcuffs and out of the police station, running to his girlfriend's apartment complex. Police tracked him there and surrounded the building.
Keelan said McNair slipped out a window in his girlfriend's apartment, which was on the third floor. He went from the complex roof to a tree, but the tree limb broke and McNair crashed to the ground. He injured his back and was hospitalized.
Keelan visited McNair in the hospital, where he found McNair engrossed in a book about slain President John F. Kennedy. Keelan said McNair was fascinated with the book and particularly was interested in details of Kennedy's autopsy.
This guy sounds pretty sick !

Yep, you can believe it's big time around here...these rednecks are going nuts worring about him.
I figure he done me some good so far...I had a Remington 11-87 police model shotgun I bought used last year that didn't work....I tore it down today and found the problem...It's fixed now....So I guess I owe the guy for that.
I figure he found a empty house to break into and that's why we ain't heard/seen from him last 18 hours....He's laid up and resting....Best thing he could do is head for the river and follow it North East....That's what I'd do...Trouble is he don't know much about the area.
A part of me is cheering for him...You know?

He was heading south I suppose when he was found... Would he be able to cross the river ? or would he head Northeast towards the wooded area and Shreveport area..

He ended up south of the prison cause that's where the mail truck stopped.....Then he escaped the mail truck and headed in exactly the wrong direction...He headed into a populated area and not the opposite.
I'm just a few miles from Ball as the crow flies...The prison is maybe 3 miles from me and Ball is just the other side of it....But he was last seen headed back in this direction...I think he finally got his bearings.
If he makes it to the river, he can follow it all the way up to Shreveport without much chance of getting caught....I doubt he could swim it, but there would be no need to....The river passes thru mostly unihabited areas...A few small towns along it that are easy to skirt...Lots of deep woods and farmland tween here and Shreveport along the river....Lots of isolated hunting camps to hide out in along the way.

Bab's, Personally I haven't a clue... I went to Google Earth, and tried glancing over the area he's in.. My guess is he's headed up around Keith's area somewhat NE... I doubt he could cross the river.... He'd get nabbed... He has little choice but to head up NE.... ALOT of rural wooded area between Ball where he was briefly apprehended... Alot of places shut down tho...
He's supposedly a Martial Art's expert too... Yet I dunno.. He's escaped several times before, they said unless he's glued someplace he'll escape... He used lipbalm to get out've handcuff's in N Dakota where he was originally busted.. He was an informant, was also in the military, and went bad... He's pretty nutty...pretty sick fantasies this guy has

He know's 167. I have a feeling he's going to try to leave Alexandria area and head up using 167 as a border.. Probably end up at that Little Church of God near your area trying to get food and water

You know Steven...the more I read about this guy, the less I believe he is guilty....He has escaped several times before but never hurt anyone while doing it or while he was out....He was out 9 months last time he escaped and didn't hurt anyone....He was a model prisoner while incarcerated...
You got to remember he was in the military and working WITH the cops for a long time before he was charged with the murder....He may have been set up....The guy that was wounded never identified him as the shooter.....And the ex-cop who said all those things you mentioned was personally involved with him and might have been involved in the frame.
Who knows what really went down....Who knows better than he.
