Hi gang: Can someone help. I have about 100 MP3+G zip files I ripped to my hard drive and the program (used roxbox) did not name the files correctly. The song titles are there and artist but it does not read proerly in my roxbox software. The ID is not tagged properly i guess/ any ideas on how to fix this instead of changing each one one by one? They should read SC9000-1- Madonna- Like A Virgin but it looks like Like a Virgin_ Madonna_- SC90000 Thanks |

The new Kjamp Rip-n-zip virtually lets you put the name format any way you want This renamer will change it the way you want change the underscores to a space then use the swap function arrange the fields the way you want.. Read the faqs and examples. Copy a few to another folder and experiment to get the right formula.. |

I dunno, for a mere 100 files, I'd rename them myself. I play my files with winamp... and then you can highlight and copy the names as they are in your folder... then you can go into the file info (right click the file in the playlist, go to "File info", then you can click on the ID tag and paste the info in and 'update". I always make certain my mp3s are named right when I rip them BEFORE I zip them. |

if the files are zipped latishaws mp3 manager actually does a good job. http://www.latshawsystems.com/products.aspx is where you can find it. Another tool is cdg autoname. You can find it and other jewels at http://www.elevyconsulting.com/nick/ which includes sax's renamer. |

cdg autoname works with the KJ Pro database... it's not a stand alone unit. And I put my money where my mouth was. I had a custom disc with 15 tracks... took only a moment to rename the folder file, and then to copy that, and rename each of the mp3 and cdg files. typed out all 15 tracks, and renamed the files, then played the mp3g to make certain it would work, did the FILE INFO on winamp, and manually updated the file. Took less than four mins to do all of them. |
