How many true believers? Obviously, someone who runs this site believes in it, or it wouldn't be a part of the personal profiles here.
Alot of people say it's hokus pokus...I'm not so sure about that.
I just recently read alot of stuff on my astrological sign that was just amazing to me. My personal characteristics, likes and dislikes, goals and successes, pet peeves, family, love and relationships, blah blah blah...:newlol:

I concluded that for some reason, this stuff is shockingly accurate to a certain degree, and I don't try to live my life everyday from these findings. It's always after certain happenings or events that I notice this astrology stuff is creepy, but also cool as hell.

Supposedly, my ideal soulmate is an Aries or Saggitarius....my wife is an Aries and I drive a Dodge truck. So I wonder if I'm in love with my truck, or my wife? :newlol:

I also noticed accuracies about other people or acquaintences that I happen to know their birthdates and sign.
I won't get into all of the theoretical stuff that I've read about the origin of astrology here, but there are just as many non-believers as there are in non-believers of Jesus Christ it seems.
I think it could be a useful tool to predict one's fate or destiny, except to live by this would be left up to chance like most anything else where you need faith to believe.
I'm just saying that all of the stuff I read on myself has pretty much got me pegged, almost to the point of wanting to live by it.

well.... I haven't read much, but anything I've read about astrology seems awfully vague....

however.... the Chinese Zodiac thing freaks me out! That always seems VERY accurate..

I'm a pig (tho I don't know why this site says I'm a dog.... I think it's a year behind. I was born in 83... PIG / boar..... 82 was the dog.)

I'll be honest,  I don't know enough about ACTUAL astrology to say I do, or do not believe.... Astrology is so much more than newspaper superstitious generalizations,  I have little knowledge in the actual "science" assuming that's what it is..  I need to learn about this area before jumping to wrong conclusions.

Now if you asked me about psychic hotlines, I'd give you a different response LMAO


Yet actual psychic phenom ?   I know it exists,  and like the term UFO I believe it's unknown, has an explanation beyond our realm of understanding so-far, yet "twin" theory, and extra-sensory experience does exist.... Just a part of the brain we don't yet understand,  or perhaps a part of our existence...Who knows

I don't buy into it at all, bunch of hooey.  Can't predict whats going to happen by the alignments of the planets.  Seems like EVERY newspaper has a different horoscope reading, then there are the online ones as well that don't coincide with anything either.  Some are daily, some are weekly, some are monthly.  They are so vague that they can apply to almost anyone or anything at SOME point in there life, day, week or whatever.  It's just for entertainment value & just like fortune cookies, someone probably has a program that randomly picks what todays horoscope will be.
As far as it being in the profile, that may just be a part of the forum template, i've seen them in other forums as well that are the same layout.

Yeah "psychic" hotlines.  Dionne Warwick & her psychic network couldn't foresee the collapse of the network into bankruptcy.

I'm a Leo and I am fersure an arrogant self centered a-hole....So that reinforces the science of the stars enuff for me...

I'm also a Snake in the Chinese version, and I fersure do sneaky snake-like stuff.....So I guess you could say I believe in all that crap or at least grant it some validity....It could be worse....I could be a monkey and sit around and pick at my butt.

Yes, I know what you mean by vague. It couldn't possibly know a person...everyone is different, or experienced things in their lives that made them different.
But one thing's for sure, you're not a dog. :newlol:

Yeah Keith, that's the one that bothers me the most. I never thought of being an arrogant, self-centered a-hole before, just someone who likes to lead by example. :dontknow:

We LEOs are a distinct breed that's for sure. I'm a very sensitive person for a guy...sometimes I think this is a curse. It makes me appear to be very whiny alot, but I just care about everyone, and have other's best interests at heart most of the time. But I do have personal materialistic cravings. It always seems like I want the best or nothing.

Somebody...please slap me now. :newlol:

I do believe in it, but not the "newspaper" stuff...

The most accurate horoscopes I've ever seen are those that break the different astrological signs up to variations of the signs from before you and after you.

In other words... here's my example:

I'm a Libra. (Sept. 24 -Oct. 23)
The sign before me is a Virgo. The sign after me is a Scorpio.

The interpretation is the first week and a half is designated a Libra-Virgo
the next ten days is "Libra"
and the next ten days is Libra-Scorpio.

The daily astrological reading for all three are similar, but quite different. As are the descriptions of the folks that are born on the certain days. And it's really amazing how close it is. Mine fit me to a T!! I was really surprised. What really freaked me out in the investigation was reading what was SUPPOSED to happen to you the day after your "reading" is... in 89% of that time I was a paying member of that club, it was accurate, almost to a fault.

The Chinese way to calculate the age is to add a year to your age. The 9 months of conception is considered a year in Chinese. So at birth you are a year old. This site Chinese Zodiac use the correct style. So you are not a pig but a dog.   aaah  so.

Actually astrology is NOT the tv and entertainment section of the newspaper.  It's VERY intricate, and time of birth even matters.... and what was happening that year....  I won't formulated an opinion based on what I don't know...


If years ago someone was to tell me  "Kappy, the ocean waves are because of the moon",  I'd have laughed at them...  Yet is that incorrect ?  I don't know enough about the ACTUAL study, the newspaper section is NOT actual astrology... LOL
