Does "State-of-the-Art" mean best state ?  current state ?  or when it's felt technology was at it's peak in terms of functionality, quality, ergonomic method, value, efficiency, etc....

What does the term really mean ?

In some ways might the "State-of-the-Art" be behind us if disposable items have taken front stage, to more costly better made and possibly better performing technology ?

(I'd have posted this in the tech forum, but I promised the guy's I'd stop antagonizing them LOL )

OK, Now I'm really kicking myself for not buying Dynaco in the 90's from J&R electronics at 75% off retail ~

State of the Art What? LOL

I read your signature and you mentioned FREE COFFEE! I have never received my free coffee and was curious if only the IN crowd gets coffee?

If so I would like to put IN now to start getting my coffee, BEE-OTCH.

Oh can I get a doughnut too, el graciosoo

We were talking about Art right?

So what do you call a guy no arms and no legs hanging on a wall? ART

LMAO    In crowd,  or reject crowd... Some of us fit into both.. I try to treat everyone decently, this way it's more fun for me...Yet "In crowd" ?  NAH.... That's just not me...Unless something in my life has taken a drastic shift, and I'm not being included in the joke..

As to the coffee,  Well,  when they were passing the hat around for collections, and money started disappearing I think they caught onto why I was here.  I now stand in the hall,  just like the old days in school, I've been 86'd from the "in crowd", kicked out've the place,  but I still yell things into the doorway, and back room window when cracked open, and a select group still laughs.  It's not as if they've called the cops and removed me for loitering yet.

"Plug your ears Karaoke"

Do you guys need a Mascot ?

Ct. zoning and the local EPA has ordinances prohibiting me from getting within 20 feet of a microphone.

I have evolved over 50 years of state of the art stuff... I actually dont remember when that term came along.. It is a term that manus use to sell new equipt... As Lon and most here know tube mic preamps are still state of the art ...They come out with a newer and newer mouse trap. If your house is mouse free why do you need the newer one? More watts and more this and that and it still doesnt do more to the music I have listened to for fifty years...Altough the fx sure peak up the old recordings...
