Our local karaoke KJ recently purchased a used CAVS computer-based system that
has lots of songs already preloaded.  The problem I've noticed as a casual observer is that most of the songs are CAVS.  Their old CD+G based system had mainly Sound Choice and Chartbuster songs (much better song versions).  Also the new
system seemed to have some occasional audio/graphic sync problems.  Sorry, but I didn't get the model # of the new system.  But in general, how difficult and time consuming is it to add better song versions? Apparently there may also be legal issues here for some song brands.  I'm not a KJ, so I don't know all the ins and outs here.

Is this a computer itself or is a jb99 or jb199? If so it's the player issue. the same songs play fine if converted to the original standard of MP3+G which contains a .cdg and an .mp3 file. All is not lost as If you get a computer and purchase RoxBox, they now have a convetor for those files.  Once you switch overto the PC based programs you'll fing the swipe timing to dissabate and updating will make it easier to run. The issue you run into if you use these files is that you don't actually own them since you don't have discs to back up your investment.
