No!  Not that!  LOL   What was the first album, 45, cassette or CD that you
purchased?  Mine was the Beatles 45 of "Twist And Shout" backed by "There's A Place" - 1964.

Soundtrack to Armegeddon.  Yea, wasted money.  Made up for it with the Ed Hunter Iron Maiden compilation and quickly learned what real music was.

I don't remember the first one I bought but...  I inherited my mom's Carol King "Tapestry" 8 track tape.  I played the heck out of that one!

Oooops, my age is showing

Don, you know that I am much too young to even know what a 45 is, right?  LMAO

I never bought any of my own, there was lots of records at home for me to listen to.

I think the very first tape I ever purchased cause I just HAD to have it was Dwight Yoakum, "Guitars, Cadillacs". I had the hugest crush on that guy for the longest time. Those faded, ripped up jeans of his drove me crazy. (still do)  :oh yeah:

Mine was Beach Boy's 45, "FUN, FUN, FUN"...The flip side was "In My Room" I later called it my manic-depressive platter.........I wore that sucker out.........

I was a kid living in Verdun France(1963-65?)...My Army dad was stationed there....he had bought me n my brother a Grundig truntable with amp and speaker....I was lucky in that dad was a closet audiofile and he never hesitated to buy the best audio stuff even tho we ate lots of beans and cornbread.

Ok,

The FIRST LP I purchased was back in 1980 - 'Meet The Temptations'. I was a mere 17 year old LMAO

Now the first records (45's) purchased for me, by my parents, were: 'When Sonething's Hard To Get' - Anita Humes (on Roulette), '(I Know) I'm Losing You' - Temptations (on Gordy) and 'I Say A Little Prayer For You' - Dionne Warwick. That was back around 1966.
