My UB1222FX-PRO just died....2 weeks out of warranty of course...Just like my last UB mixer.
Ok, I learned my lesson, so please don't slap me around.
I need a new mixer that is rackable, and has the following features:
-At least 6 mono mic inputs
-3 or more stereo inputs
-low cuts on mic inputs
-inserts on all mono inputs
-mic mutes on each mic channel(universal mic mute would be nice too)
-built in FX that can be bussed to monitors
-separate monitor slider
What do you guys suggest?

My next mixer is this Then the firewire card when I can afford it.. I was talking to mackie tech support and he said it is everything they say and more...

Mackie CFX12, only has 2 stereo inputs however & no monitor "slider", has an Aux send (2 for monitors actually) with it's own control.

Or the Dfx 12 if you need effects......... BTW the manual is one of the best I have ever read. Kinda like Mixers for dummies.

CFX has the effects too, actually the same ones as in the DFX.

I do see that is a pretty one, but Ouch on that price $200 more than the dfx. Is it better than the dfx, or what is the diff?

Has swept mids on mono channels, 4 band on stereo channels, 9 band graphic over 5 band graphic, sub group capability for multitrack recording - kind of a nice feature for customers - remix at home & produce a nice cd. More configuration possibilities in cable routing. Can add external effects along with the internal - basically to Aux sends to effects along with 2 Aux sends for monitors. Rack mount capable.
It's just a nice unit overall. I have one & love it - only problem is now I need a couple more channels as I am maxed out right now.

Karyoker, it lost the left channel..........I swapped inputs, I swapped outputs...it fersure lost the left channel...I noticed it when I lost my subwoofers...I run my subs mono off the left channel output, so I swapped outputs and regained my subs, then I tried swapping inputs with no joy....It's universal to all inputs and stereo strips, so that means the left main output channel died.

Forget anything as expensive as a mixer off eBay....I will never use eBay again. Thanks for the suggestion, tho.

Thanks for all the suggestion so far.....
Right now I'm looking at the Spirt FX16 in another window.....I just found it for $849 at one sight....Now I need to go back and examine it real close and see if it has all the bells and whistles I need.
AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHH!, no sooner than I blow my wad on a round pen, then the mixer go tits-up!............Man, it's always something, huh?
Let me go look at the spirt and see if it has what I want and then read some reviews on it.....I'll get back and let you know.
Thanks, guys!

Keith what ever you do dont throw it away I would pay the shipping . The only thing if it was a Mackie I would have the schematics sitting on my hard drive in pdf in less than an hour Then I would have an excellent chance of repairing it. (I talked to tech support the other day asked for the shematics for a dfx12 by the time I checked out a forum the email was there with a password to download them) I f I fixed it I would only charge you for the parts. The only advantage I would have is its like a stereo if you got one channel working you can compare voltages and see what the bad channel is missing. But it woud take awhile to figure it out without scematics....

The Soundcraft board is very nice, I used to have one really similar. Only downfall is no stereo channels, it's 16 mono channels so you'd need to control 2 faders for 1 player.
The Yamaha you mentioned is definitely more karaoke friendly with the stereo channels & a little more budget concience to boot.

AAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!........AAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHH!
Pant, pant.......AAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!
I am going to kill my very best buddy, Robbie....I mean it this time, I am going to kill him and then gut him, and then feed him to the hogs.....
You see,.....Just 2 hours ago I call Sweetwater from work and order the Mackie CFX MkII.......Then I come home and go back to tinkering with the Behringer.....That's when I decide to just start at the bottom of my rack and work my way thru to the top and check everything....And that's when I find the BBE switched off.....
I switched the BBE on and I now have stereo...Both sides sounding nice and brite and loud.....Robbie must have switched it off experimenting with my gear.....My whole rack is switched off one powerstrip, I never turn off any one item im my mixer/effects stack......
So ok, I found the problem but it revealed another problem....I should have lost both sides, not just one with the BBE switched off....So I need to to jerk the patch bay and repatch everything.
Well, at least I will have a new Mackie CFX12 next week.
