This is probably the dumbest question, but I cannot figure it out. What does the fx knob do on a mixer, also the send and return aux? Thank you. |

fx or efx is a abbrevition for effects which is a digital way of adding reverb echo chorus or multiple other effects to audio if it is by a knob it controls the amount ...Send is the output to an external processor and the return is the effected audio coming back into the mixer... |

So I have the behringer 802 and it has on all inputs an fx knob and also low, mid, high, pan. So when I have it turned up it adds echo? Or just adds more of the low mid high? Thank you. |

That particular mixer has an fx knob which is post fader which means that the efx sent to the efx send is also controlled by the overall and final gain...The hi control the treble the low controls the bass Pan shoves the audio to the left channel or righ channel... The fx knob sets the level of overall efx applied by the external processor... |

Ok I think I understand, So this leads to my small problem. I have a setup where I have a pc going into the mixer, mic, and then an out to the amp. The problem is that I get a very "tinny sound" The fx knob seems to lighten this effect but not quite enough. Is there a way to use my pc to create vocal effects to the speakers? I am using winamp for my player. I have tried to use the eq on it but it does not seem to help much. I want some echo in some songs, and lower not so "tinny" in others. Thank you. |

Welcome to compuer sound ... The aveage daw (digital audio workstation) requires rather expensive audio boards a faster and faster processor, more and more ram and gizmos that th average pocketbook cant afford but we have fun... |
