Ok my comp crashed a couple of months ago I had a @ gig pent in it with a 400 fsb... I run it for a year or so... I got a soyo with ati on board dual video My 2 gig 1.8 or 1.7 cpu would not work in this board The one I need is about $150... I then got a cheapie mb with 400 fsb... I run 512 3200 in it for a few months it started doing strange things I found out the ram was running hot and fried The manual for this mb rec 2700... For a 4000fsb????? I had to take 256 2700 out of my home pc to stay in business.... Its been chugging for a couple of months no probs unless I want to record.. Just bought 512 2700 on ebay havnt got it yet.... Any ideas or responses? |

Go to crucial.com and make certain you buy the correct ram for your MB...If crucial sez your MB is not supported, then get one that is supported by crucial. MB's are not created equal and op volts can vary from brand to brand where the power is not only improperly regulated for your RAM, it is also "dirty"....crucial certified RAM in a crucial certified MB is the only way to go. PCchips makes decent and inexpensive MB's that passes crucial testing for most applications....Start there....There are others, but in my experience, PCchips MB's tend to offer the most success at the best price. |
