Hi everyone, new here but been singing for years. Have an RSQ machine and tons of CDG's but need to know how to sing on the PC and save so I can share with my friends. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

if you want to have a more pro sounding setup try a digidesign mbox. it comes with a break out box and you can run your deck and mic through that right to recording software that will give you plenty of power, including plug-ins for effects such as compression, limiter, reverb, echo, etc. or you can try ebay for a digi001, which is what i am using. there are no additional software for that unit but it will work wonders for you. either way your are going to get a reduced version of the powerful system that is more or less standard in the recording industry. you will not go wrong with that system. u'll be amazed. the soundforge programs are good for additional editing. Their cd architect program is great. You can use them to rip to mp3 if you so desire. For my needs I don't rip to mp3 because of the compression which degrades sound quality; since i am using this system to compose and record original music i need to get the optimal sound quality available. For that I run 16 tracks of analog tape into the computer to get the analog to digital conversion, then i burn directly to disc on a sony cdr-w66. u'll get pro sounding recording using that combo if your mixing skills are good. from there i can use the cd architect to burn additional discs. If my memory serves me correctly i purchased the soundforge system (cd arch., soundforge 7.0, and another program) off from ebay for about 175.00. it was new and unregistered.
