Post subject:  hello from central Fl

 hello, i am new to karaoke, though i have been a semi-professional musician off &on for the past 35 years. i have a recording studio at home which consists of both analog 1" 16track tape MS16, protools hardware & software with 16track analog input and a soundcraft mixing console, TC finalizer and other out-board effects. I have a myriad of guitars, amps, & mics. I have just started enjoying working on my vocals far more in-depth than i have previously engaged in. since i am no longer playing with bands i am recording original music (retro-rock & blues) & i am now starting to catalog  a list of cover songs. my intent is to develop several sets of material that i can do for public performances rather than karaoke clubs, though those will be part if my repitoire. i am most interested in putting together a system for use on-stage and i have some pro equipment already, such as a crown macro reference 2400 which will be more than adequate for my needs. I will be posting in the forums as i am not sure whether to go with computer based or disc based. i am thinking of possibly starting a karaoke show as well. i would luv to continue in music for public consumption but i am too fried with working with holier than thou, better than u musicians. i'm too old for puttin in all the time, only to get attitude and have things fall apart, having to recreate it all over again. i look forward to interfacing with you and picking up some tips from y'all.
