hi
the wife has got herself cd+g karaoke machine and i would like to back up the disks i tried with nero express 6 oem suite which came with pc it just copied the music not the graphics,a surgestion was to down load alcohol120% but didn't work not even the music. i have windows xp professional2002  amd athlon (tm) xp 3000+  optorite dvd rw dd1205  scsivax dvd/cd-rom scsicdrom device  please be gentle with me as i know very little about computers but hope tobe able to follow any surgestions with thanks

first thing ... welcome to the site.

Rather than asking a question have you READ the other topics here. There's another thread now that's specifically talking about copying karaoke discs.

I DO appreciate that you mentioned your software and hardware you're using. Most karaoke  cd+g copying software requires the burner to be able to read the karaoke subcode.

MTU.com and goldenhawk.com both have a help file which tells you which burners can do that. Now I've HEARD that Alcohol120% will do it (like you tried), but I have no experience with it. I did signup at http://www.alcohol-soft.com/ on their forum, and did a simple search, and came up with this topic that tells you step by step how to do it.

thank you for taking the time to help i followed the instructions to the letter but it still did not work i have now joined 120% forum so its there problem now not yours but thaks again for your help

loland, it's important to note that even alcohol120 shows on that thread that the burner STILL has to be able to read the subcode, the way Plextor's do.

I really think you'll have to bite the bullet and buy another burner!

www.newegg.com has them. I just bought a cd burner for $42 last week!
