Karaoke Forums

Lots and lots of people here record and send their subs to Singers Showcase. All are sung to Karaoke tracks. This of course takes courage and effort to spend the time to make the recordings and then share them before the world on KS SS. It requires a certain amount of BOLDNESS to step up and do that. Sort of like getting up and singing at a Karaoke bar.

Now..........................Who here amongst us IS TRULY BOLD and FEARLESS!! ???

Who here would be willing to make a COMPLETELY ACCAPELLA recording of themselves and SUBMIT THAT to SS??????

Opinions???? Thoughts??? Comments???

I'd be willing to do it if others were willing to do that also. I can sing Deperado, Kissing a Fool, and Bridge over troubled waters completly accapella. I've actually done this a few times when I DJ at my show. Challenge the crowd to sing one ACCAPELLA. Turn off the music from the CD but put the words up on screen. Actually get takers and then ACAPELLA GAME ON! And actually have had a couple of PHENOMENAL acapella performances. I only do this on really slow nights tho. If its real busy Ill let someone do it on a special request. But no more than one in a night.

Oh, been there done that!!

I subbed a song long ago completely a capella, called "Fishers of Men". Gotta admit, it's makes you a bit more nervous thinking everyone is gonna hear nothing but your bare voice with no music to distract, but I did it. So have a few other people here that I know of, though I haven't heard it too often.

Guess that makes Charmin "bold & fearless".......... hahaha.

I guess since it was Kurt's idea, then Kurt needs to go first. I for one would like to hear "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" done a capella, I love that song. So I'll be watching SS for it. (yeah, that's a dare.........)

I subbed an a capella song once...it was also a Simon and Garfunkle tune, The Boxer.  Mostly because I can't sing along to the backing to save my live, I get screwed up by the harmonies every time!
I'd love to hear an a capella version of Bridge Over Troubled Waters.

Reminds me of that movie where the black guy got up and sung a song just before the cops shot him dead.....I really liked that movie and especially that scene. It was a movie about karaoke, well it involved karaoke.

I'm getting old cause I can't remember the name of the movie.

Accapella is a road to freedom.....It allows what's deep inside to escape. It reveals what you hide inside.....Which is often the very best part of you.
