Hey all, I'm probably behind all the other newbies here since I don't even have a karaoke player, which is what my question is about. I'm looking to getting a karaoke player for my home, one that is capable of playing DVDs, with mics. If you could point me in the right direction like make suggestions as to what's been reviewed and proved reliable, I would really appreciate it. I am looking to spend around $400-$500. Couple of other noob questions, can anyone tell me what cdg means? Thanks in advance for any help I can get. Brian. |

Hi Brian, I'd go with an RSQ Triple Tray for a player since I like to load several discs and start with tray 1, song 1... I have Shure 58 mics at home but I don't think that is necessary, there are some good mics like Excel, etc that are fine (in my opinion) for home use. I never plug the mics into the player, always the amp. If you don't have an amp I'd change to the single tray RSQ and buy an amp & speakers. CDG = CD + Graphics Susie |

Thanks Susie for the helpful info. Another question, what do you call those discs where you have the lyrics on the bottom part of the screen and there is a music video kind of a thing going on. |
