Just thought I'd say hi, got some phone and electric, don't know for how long, keeps going on and off.
Rita sure made a mess of things here.  Mom and I went up past Alexandria but not far enough!  The winds were real strong.  Very scary!!!
Our place is a mess.  Everything is.  I couldn't believe my eyes.  Electric poles were down on the streets, trees are everywhere have several down on our place.
Our carport is in the pool.
My Dad had put up several concrete poles on Lake Shore Drive everyone of them broke and are laying across the street.
I am so glad we left!
We get electric but just 110.  No hot water, air, fridge, etc.
I would love to have a hot shower and some ice cream!  LOL
I was thinking how awful it must be for the people of Katrina to have to leave and not know if they'll have anything to come back to, guess now I can relate to that!  It is a terrible feeling, not that means much at all but there were people I knew that stayed, I didn't know if I'd ever see them again. But my friends are fine and I am so very happy about that!!

Of couse i see no one missed me. :(  LOL
But I missed everyone, I am just happy that I can listen to more subs now. :oh yeah:

Lol, of course you were missed........ these forums just seem to be SO dead most of the time now.

Casey, I didn't know you were down in that vicinity. Glad all is okay with you & your family.

I have family down there too, mostly Baytown, some stayed- some left, but they are all okay.

Good to have you back around. (how'd you survive with no INTERNET??) lol, that would have done me in.  :wink:

I know the forum use to be very busy not much going on in here anymore.  But I guess I needed to post something so this was it. LOL
Glad your family are okay.
Nasty storm, My first Hurricane, I was born in
az. we moved around (my dad is a lineman) until I was 3 and moved back to AZ. and  lived there until 6 years ago.  So here I am waiting for the house to sell so I can get to CO. Yes SNOW!!!!!  I will miss my pool whats left of it anyway. LOL
But I like snow. :oh yeah: ooh guess I got off track....
anyway the internet yes I missed ss but I never fool with anything else, I'm not a computer type person.  Guess I am weird.  But  when a person doesn't have something it is so missed even if it isn't an everyday thing, I took a lot for granted.  I missed hot showers most of all!  And ice cream!
I don't even eat it that much.  But I sure wanted some.
I'm so glad that it wasn't as bad as it could have been and lives were spared.

ohhhh HOLY COW hon, i didn't realize.  I am so sorry hon, i didn't even realize you were hit too.  My prayers go out to everyone.  If there is anything any of us can do please seriously let us know

:) Thanks Randy but we're good.  Just waiting on the insurance guy (gees) so we can clean  things up.
We have it good compared to the people in New Orleans and Mississippi.  My heart goes out to them.

I have nothing else to do (Not that I mind singing or listening) no school, don't know when McNeese will open back up.  But I really like school.
Guess I should get a job.
