$799 retailed BMB DX388 mixer amp 300watts x 3 $500 BMB CS600 speakers max 400watts (it's just like the cs500 except diff. finish) $399 BMB VM88 2 wireless mics w/ charger after the bargaining the total was $1450. i got this off of the local store in san jose, ca. The living room is about 25x18 ft. I only cranked the music level up to about level 1/6th cuz other ppl couldn't handle the loudness. While singing at that level, i wasn't impressed, it's just alrite. I'm thinking of returning the package and see if i can get better elsewhere. Also, my family says that the system looks ugly. So i'm also thinking of converting to a 5.1 HT system maybe using some Klipsch Reference for both movies and karaoke, is that a good idea? I'm just afraid that the speakers may be ruined during karaoke. if anyone has any suggestions, i'd appreciated. |

You could get yourself a set of Mackie SRM450's & DFX 6 mixer & have better results - personally, this is what I would do. If it says "karaoke" in it's description, then it's not worth it!!! Whatever you decide, you DO NOT want to incorporate your karaoke system with your home theatre. Keep it separate if at all possible. |

those mackies look impressive.. so is powered better than a separate amp in my situation? and by the way, i'm screwed, i think i'd have to keep the system, cuz i don't want the 15% restocking fee.. but just for future references, since this system was for my sister's house.. And what are the other good brands regarding these types of speakers? and mixers? thanx again |

I have ben going to a show here in austin that uses the BMB speakers and such, and the speakers are great for the size. From What I was told by the KJ the BMB is the Japaneese version of the bose speaker. They are small and lightweight for the punch they pack. |

I like my Peavey 15`s better but just the same the BMB`S are sweet.

BMB is not affiliated with Bose in any way shape or form. |

Pionneer, yes, as below, an extract from thier site: U's BMB Entertainment Corp., a USEN group company, merged with Taikan Co., Ltd., a dealer with an extensive sales territory, and also acquired the karaoke business subsidiaries of Pioneer Electronic Corporation and Clarion Co., Ltd. As a result, we were able to create an integrated structure for the karaoke business within the group and achieve efficient operations. |
