Extract tracks buy using audiograbber.
Use CD-R win to burn karaoke cd's
I would suggest buying a Plextor burner if you do not have one, $100 at best Buy

I use Power CD+G Burner from Power Karaoke and I really like it. Now they have added the access to freeDB and it extracts song name when you rip it. The single program both rips and burns them. Make sure you have CD-G compatible CD burner. They even have trial version you can try it before you buy.

I downloaded Goldenhawk and tried to use it without luck. I'm using my laptop and my cd drive is on the list that says it will work with. However, on the backup menu CDG is not an option that I can select. I can record music all day but without the text and all. Any ideas at to what I'm doing wrong?

E.J.,
Your burner has to be able to "read" cdg text. You'll probably have to invest in either an external burner or change the one in your system. Plextor is the most reliable and can be had for under $100 at Best Buy or stores simular.

Donny B.
Thanks I'll look into it this weekend. Another question, do you recommend buying a a cdg burner that works on it own or one to use with a computer. I see that a lot of people here are using their computers more and more, is this a trend?

Or is it about extending a friendly hand to help a new person before trying to make an a$$ out of them? Sensative has never really been on the top of the list of things that I have been called but that doesn't mean that I won't speak up either. Perhaps I am new enough that I didn't even realize that there was a search of old topics available. But hey, go with your strengths my friend. It won't hurt my feelings.

Well, that all depends on your budget AND if you have the knowledge to exchange the burner you have in your pc to the one (plextor?) you're going to install. Either way, they both work!
