Post subject:  Hello from New Hampshire

I thought I had made an introduction here yesterday but apparently I didn't submit what I had entered.

I have been having a great time here. Lots of great information and so many talented singers. I found out that I need to submit one song in order to comment on others songs. I am sorry for breaking this rule. I didn't know this until I saw it at the bottom of a comment I tried to submit. I do have to say that although I won't be able to comment on any songs until the day that I learn how to submit songs, that I will keep listening to your songs and enjoying them.

I have only done Karaoke twice. Once was with my brother at a bar during our partying days. Lesson learned, don't believe drinks will make you sound any better to a person who hasn't had one too many LOL, we still laugh about that night. The second time was last weekend. It was a contest and wouldn't you know I lost my voice completely two days prior to the contest. My friends insisted that I go and enter the contest. I tried to explain my voice was shot but they thought I was only making an excuse to get out of the contest. The first song went great with lots of compliments. My friends sat there and smiled proudly at how well I did. The second song was when they realized I did something to my voice. I was singing along and suddenly without warning the lips were moving but the words weren't coming out. I tried and tried to get the words out. Finally, I was able to get a couple of little squeaks out. LOL  Wouldn't you know when I got back to the table my friends insisted they thought I was only making it up about having lost my voice earlier in the week.

I am all set to go out and enter a contest all over again this weekend. My voice isn't back as powerful as it was but it is almost there.

Hopefully someday I will learn how to submit songs so that I am able to join in more on the comments of others songs. Be warned, I come from my mother's school of if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all so it is doubtful I would ever say anything negative about someones singing, but then again you can be sure that if I have something positive to say that I mean just what I say. I do still say this, there iws a lot of very good talent here!

Hey George...saw that you posted this awhile ago, but I don't get around to the forums that much (shame on me).  I didn't get the chance to check and see if you've submitted anything yet, but I will once I finish this reply to you.  If you haven't, and you need help, just do a search in the forums...they are extremely helpful, and if you don't find what you are looking for, just post a new topic in the Technical Questions section...there are tons of great people here who are willing to help.

I think I may have commented on songs before I submitted anything also...oops.  I was not aware of that rule either.  I thought you jsut had to be a member to comment.  Oh well, I've got some posts now, so I guess it's water under the bridge.  Anyway, welcome to SS...I'm going to go see if you submitted anything now.  Sorry if you did and I am just not aware of it.
