Looking to purchase generic KARAOKE T-SHIRTS to hand out as promos or prizes or whatever.  I was able to find a website that could do shirts for a little less than $4 each when bought in bulk (250pieces) + shipping .  Only problem is I don't want to spend a  $1000 for shirts and If you buy less the price goes up accordingly -  SO I don't want to spend $60 on 2 shirts (lol) .   If anyone else is interested maybe we can make a BULK buy and have everyone benefit from this.   JUST TO CLARIFY
This isn't an ADVERTISEMENT and I WOULDN"T profit $$$ by this --only would SAVE money .  If interested I could send you an email of what I had designed and if REALLY interested GO on the site and send me something you designed and maybe we can get some really cool giveaways for not too much money.

I want one now too ........  :bigcry:

PHIL should have them made- then we can buy them. He can make a little profit.  :2cents:  or so. lol

Or does he already sell some and I just don't know about it? Wasn't there a logo thing being talked about? Nevermind, I'm off to go look for it myself. (I swear I read that once)

If I were to pay for t-shirts they would have my logo on them.
My one bar has t-shirts made for me they have the bar's and my logo on them. Doesn't cost me a dime. :) He buys 100 a year.

Screen Printing do's and don't s

Use a local company, they will save your screen and it will save you money on your next printing.
The major cost of printing is screen cost.
Every color needs it's own screen, use as least as possible.
Many times you can also save buy providing someone local with t-shirts you have gotten a deal on. It's not easy to find t-shirts for less than $3.50
The best deal I have found so far is 3 screens 100 shirts $500 not bad for a 3 color shirt, 1st chance I'll order some.

Another option is to find a local school that has a print shop if you buy everything they generally will do it for a small donation to the program.
We printed tons of stuff when I went to high school.

For small quantities I will make my own with iron on transfers. I've found if you take the transfers to a local shop and buy the t-shirts from them,(not all shirts are good for iron on's or screen printing) they will use their professional iron to print them for you.  Lyquiddye is correct in that the major cost is creating the screen.  After trying to deal with several of the local screen print shops (had to order the shirts, got wrong shirts, wrong colors on the print etc. etc.) We met http://www.captainjerrys.com  at a trade show, they're near Baltimore.  They are one of the largest screen printers on the East Coast.  Since they have all of our screens for the last 18 years, a phone call today, and our order is ready tomorrow.  If someone were to create a screen and give instructions that anyone could use it to order shirts from, that would benefit everyone.  Phil is in the same area, maybe he could get the ball rolling.

One of the problems with creating a screen is  the initial cost - But then you are stuck with that screen - unless you pay for another one . This can get expensive.

It's great if your venue GIVES you shirts with their logo on them --But what happens if you lose that gig or work a private party?  I will eventually purchase shirts with my LOGO on them but then again your putting out a large initial investment.
You can purchase tshirts here and many on line STORE but they are not wholesale prices and $16 per shirt is  too much for promo items etc.   If this site would design some generic shirts and price them accordingly  I'm sure they would sell a lot of them.  But $5-6 per shirt is the tops I would pay for promo items.
I guess you can but some cheap tshirts and make your own but for  $4 per complete shirt why would you?   Again the shirts I saw were white / w black ink
nothing color or I'ms ure the cost would go  UPUPUP.

I buy colored ones too. At walmart they have the printing paper for it. For White shirts, black shirts, it's hard to find the one for other colors. So i just tend to stick to the White And Black.

Just make your graphic, print it on the paper...and Iron it on!  Voila. I don't make huge amounts...which is why for me it works doing it this way. It takes all of 10 minutes to to a tshirt...and that's mostly the iron on.

If you are going to do huge quantities...then i would definatley go the route you're thinking of.  I would go to the sports guy who i worked with when we ran the kids sports programs. I take in what i designed...he makes it. and charges me only for the shirts. But..i brought him LARGE amounts of business for 10 years.

I don't know what people usually make off selling tshirts etc... but.... On one of our websites we have http://www.cafepress.com/grandhaven/  You might want to check it out. the /grandhaven/ is OUR products to give you an idea what's possible... just click on the cafepress logo to look at how it all works if you are a seller.

If people buy an item, we get 15%.  The good part of this is no initial screen cost.. and a bigger selection.  We like it because we also don't have to keep an inventory, it's all online, they do the shipping etc.

We just started this, so check it out closely, hubby MIGHT have missed some fine print somewhere and we've not sold anything yet that I know of LOL.  (He just started this yesterday)  But it SOUNDS perfect for online sales. I don't know if that method works for KJ's, you KJ's are a better judge of that.

Those shirts and even the ones here are GREAT shirts for consumers etc.

NOt to knock this site or any other - But $10-$18 is way too much for a Tshirt for promotional purposes.  You can get custom tshirts in BULK for less tnan $4.

NO SCREEN COST --
