Nerds............Dorks............Geeks.............Wannabes. Yeah, we karaoke singers have been called that and more. But what are we really? Headbangers, jazzmen, country boys, bubblegum pop singers, many times in the same night. Did you ever sing a song, know you nailed it, and here the bar cheering? For who? You, thats who. So, go find your song, you know, the one that is to you what come on eileen was to dexies midnight runners, what stairway to heaven was to led zepplin and what what a wonderful world is to louis armstrong. Make it your own and be what you really want to be, an entertainer. Have fun and rock the house and when your friends laugh about what you want to do, ask them if they've got the stones to try it.

P.S. Don't be offended by my use of male gender in the description, if its more appropriate, change to to girls, children, she-males or humans, whatever ya want. Thanks for listening           Timbo

Unfortunately there are some real weirdos doing Karaoke.  There was this guy that used to come in to my regular bar.  There was no Karaoke.  He wouldn't talk to anybody in the bar.  Then he would have a few beers, stand up and hold his hand to his face like he was holding a mic, then start singing at the top of his lungs.  There needs to be a purging among the elite :)

Lol, gotta love the gumption on that guy who is willing to sing without music or words, just need drinks and he's good to go.

But you didn't say whether he sang WELL? LOL  I sing with the jukebox, always have.  But I usually don't sit in quiet rooms and belt out songs... Too worried 'bout them white coats showing up.
