Good evening everyone, I have read through quite a few of the discussions and couldn't find a good thread on this subject, so I was hoping if noone objected, that I could start an active discussion on this issue.  Hopefully some individuals will realize that this is a completely serious topic and stay away from some of the horseplay I have seen on other topics.
I have been listening to the awesome sounds of quite a few of you.  The mixing, the vocals, the emotion etc, are immense and I have not seen a better group on the ww.net to-date, seriously.
When I first came here about a week ago, my interest was initially the developments in online streaming media and how prepared our current technologies are.  Yet as I continue to listen to some of the amazing talent here at SS, I'm curious as to what percentage of users use True Blue Equipment, and how many almost completely use their personal computers for the mixtures and vocals.
If some feel that this topic is worthy, I hope some of the more informed speak up.

Okay, okay- I'll try to behave & answer right.  :(

I use a small mixer plugged into my comp- my Shure SM58 mic is plugged into that. I have an old set of Pioneer headphones......I record using CEP, I think most here do.  That's it.

I don't know what other "equipment" people would use to record here. (?) For me- that's it.

For recording songs to this site I have the simplest of set up;you can't go any basic than my set up. For mic I use the one that is attach to the headphone, connected directly to the soundcard.  For recording software I use mostly KRISTAL. Thats how simple it is.

This is how I record with the above set up.

Choose a song to sing and play it in one of the compatible player within my pc. I then record just my vox without recording the backing music. I  do this cos I need the see the lyric;without the lyric running I cant sing the song. The vox in track 1 of KRISTAL; then I load track 2 with the backing music. Then sync the two tracks.
Edit the vox track in Wavlab or other editing program add efx to the vox and mixdown. Covert the Wav file to mp3 using dBPower AMP normally in mono or joint stereo. Need to get it below the limit of 3mb before uploading it here.
