Post subject:  HELP - where can I get songs that are instrumental only?
My daughter is singing in a number of talent shows this summer - usually the rules saw the backing music can have absolutely no vocals.

I have tried removing the center channel on songs - that usually doesn't get rid of backing vovals.

I have searched many sites.

I am happy to pay for songs, but I need them with no vocals - any ideas are appreciated!

the problem might for you is that they have the instrumental or background music, but it also INCLUDES the do-whop back ground vocals included. The only way for your daughter to sing a song without backing vocals, is for her to pick her songs by artists that did not use the backing vocals. That's going to be a heard one to find!

Thanks for the responses.  For the forum's reference, there are about 2500 titles at www.songgalaxy.com.

Most of the songs give you the choice of backing vocals, NO backing vocals and Lead vocals.

THey are pricey at about $15 USD apiece but in my case it is well worth it because of the talent show rules.
