I just thought of something.... remember back when many of us first joined SS.... you'd have to update your profile (even if you didn't change anything... just click update... and then submit) well... maybe since the server was switched, we have to do that again... I could be completely wrong, but I just thought of it now. I haven't tried it yet... I'll go try now! |

well I decided to try it out.... My sub worked just fine.... I didn't have to do the update profile thinger.... odd but maybe it'll still work for some of you..... or maybe I have no idea what I'm talking about (which is more likely! ) |

THIS IS NOT an ERROR on the SERVER! This appears to be happening because your computers have stored the old site IP and cookies. I have tested and was able to submit. Please try clearing your cache and cookies. Also, try to logout from Singer's Showcase - this has stored old settings as well - looks for cookies on your computer. I will continue to monitor this but there doesn't appear to be any settings that are incorrect. |

After I noticed the site had been switched to the new server, I went ahead and logged out, cleared my cache and deleted cookies... I even went and deleted all the %temp% (including temporary internet files) manually and ran Disk Cleanup. I deleted any instance of KS/SS items from my browser 'favorites', reset Internet Explorer defaults, and changed a few binary numbers in the registry. As an added measure, I went into Safe Mode and cleared everything again (since my computer sometimes won't delete certain things from the temp folder in regular operational mode). Then I rebooted. No dice. Out of idle curiousity, I installed three different browsers: Firefox, Mozilla and Netscape. I didn't allow any importing from Internet Explorer. I then tried to submit with each browser. Still no dice. Clearly, if no instance of the former site is left on the computer, caching from the old site isn't a possibility. I am stumped :confused: And just for the record... nothing irks me more than not being able to fix something that goes wrong on my computer. It's the geek in me. |

Ok, this is a stupid question: how do you clear your cache? Even though it appears this is may not resolve the problem I'd still like to know. |

Luly... close your browser, and then into Control Panel. From there you should see Internet Options. Open that, and under the 'General' tab, click the 'Delete Cookies' and 'Delete Files' buttons. Manually, you can type in %temp% in the address bar of your browser and it will take you to your temp folder. Highlight everything there and then delete. |

Thanks Deb....I just tried doing that, but unfortunately it's still not working. Looks like Phill posted a test sub....I let him know there also that I still can't sub. |

[font=andalus]Hey guys.. well.. I was finally able to get through today so you might want to try again if you haven't... Now, I thought it wasn't going to go through b/c it took MUCH longer to upload than it usually used to, so I don't know if it's a fluke that I got through or not, but perhaps everything is fixed? I hope so Ohhh and on a positive note, the site is definitely moving faster for sure.. that's definitely a good thing.. KUDOS on that Phil![/font] |

Yay! Success!! It works now....and you're right Elisha it did take forever to upload...but I'm glad it works again! :D |
