Howdy, I'm brand new to this site. Been listening to a lot of submissions but have yet to figure out how I can submit a song and how I go about recording it. If anyone out there can help me out I would sure appreciate it. I need help from the beginning. Thanks to anyone who can help. Ed |

well I'm brand new too but I may be able to help. To record a song first you need some sort of recording program and a microphone (computer micrphones will work but you may not get the best quality). I personally use CoolEditPro to record and edit my songs (it's now known as AdobeAudition). There are plenty of programs with demos you can download on the net. Then just set up your mic, start the music and go at it! There are two ways you can do it. If you're program has mixing capabilites it's usually best to listen to your music through headphones to record only your voice...then open the clip in another window and mix your voice onto it then. That way while they're still seperate it's easier to remove mic hiss and whatnot from your voice. And you can also control the volume of the music and your voice. If you don't have mixing capabilities then just press record, start the music and do a test run to make sure the music isn't too loud. As for posting your own music...go to Singers showcase (link to the left) and look for your screenname in the upper right corner. Then you'll see submit ^^ I hope I understood the question and didn't just ramble :Lol...welcome! |
