I don't understand this....After I convert the song to mp3, it plays perfectly on my computer using winamp for playback, but after I upload the song, it has dropouts every few notes.  Does anyone have any ideas what could be causinmg this?  I use EAC for ripping, and Lame is embedded in EAC for compressing to mp3.

Cheers,
Kim

I listen to all your 3 songs and cant detect any drop out not even that Dido song that you mention where the problem was. Where about in the song was the problem?

welll that sheds a different light on things.  It must be the playback somehow.  Yet when I listen to other peoples songs...they play fine.  This is odd.  Thanks so much for your response.

Cheers,
Kim

Not an isolated case my friend, just noticed the same problem when playing one of my song today, but it's all fine when I listen to others, straaaange!
