I had to double check but the manual didn't show the CDN25+G as having a key changer, only a pitch control for beat matching. You'd have to get an external key changer - like the Fleco KT-71R or Voc.... er, nevermind.

I just today received my two Numark CDN+G players. I racked one up in my home setup and have been playing it for several hours now. I'm impressed overall, but a little disappointed in the way the I had to patch in a A/B switch to handle the dual video outs...Til now I used Pioneer twin tray players. They worked great, but had only one vid out to deal with....You never had to remember to flip the A/B switch.....Yeah the Pioneers have two trays, but actually only one player unlike the two independant players on the Numark. so I can understand the single vid out on the Pioneer. I'm glad someone finally produced a pro level player that is rackmountable, but I sure wish they had given more thought to the video outs. I suggest they incorporate a front panel multi mode button that let's you select different video out switch modes. One position of the switch would combine both players so that only the one playing would send the video signal, another position would allow separate sends.....That's not expensive or hard to do. Otherwise, it's a really good buy. I got mine for $249 each shipped 2nd day air. They actually have crisper highs and tighter bass than my Pioneers because they output at pro levels compared to the pioneers consumer levels....So I don't have to pad my mixer inputs like I would the Pioneers therefore they don't try to overdrive my mixer stereo strips. They sound so brite, I had to attenuate my horns a little when playing hot DJ dance stuff.....COOL!...I'll never trim the bass tho....Too much of that is always better as long as it tite. I guess what I like most is that they rackmount....I placed the control panel just under my 45 degree sloped mixer, and the player below that in the straight up position....You need to keep the player as horizontal as possible, but the controller can be mounted at any angle. Anyone wanna buy some twin tray Pioneer PD-V10G's? |

What about the key changer? Is it the slow down/speed up kind or is it an actual digital key change without affect the tempo? This was my biggest concern with it. |

Well.....I've kinda determined this ain't the best Karaoke player after all....Yeah it really sounds good and is rackable, but it's best suited for the full time DJ who needs part time KJ capability.....Or for you KJ's who wanna impress the dance crowd on ocassion. Maybe their next version will include proper key change and video switching....I'm thinking they will corner the KJ player market if they make a few changes. Still, I suggest you audition one if you get the chance...They are really well built...22lbs! Then maybe you will contact Numark and tell them what you really need. How do I post a pic of it racked up in my home system? |

imageview.com or photobucket are good image hosters... once you upload it, they'll give you the appropriate url of the picture, and then you paste that in here, and use the [img ] [/img ] options (without the space) |

Here is the other half of my home system. I replaced the little powered subs with a pair of 18" crossed thru a CSX-1. This rig stays set up at the house....The mixer rack you see in the first pic snakes to the other side of the room, so I removed some of the gear you see in the tall rack in the center and stuffed in the rack above and added a large sub amp
