I currently use my 2003 Ford Sport Trac with a locking hard top over the bed. However my show is getting bigger and with all the costumes taking up more room than the electronics..was thinking about a small enclosed lockable trailor.. what do you use to get all your stuff safe to your shows? Just a thought Michael P.S. Phil maybe you can switch this where it belongs ...in the discussion forum ...sorry |

2003 Dodge Grand Caravan with the backseat out. Plenty of room and not a high lift to load/unload - that was one of the concerns I had when looking over some SUVs. As far as advertising on a vehicle, I'm a little reluctant to draw much attention - theives and the like, even when it's empty. If this is not a great concern, I'd still suggest considering magnetic or removable signage. |

I use a trailer. I have magnetic signs. However, I don't use thm because of the sue happy mentality of the public in this area. If you ever had a wreck, and you advertise as a business on the vehicle.......... they see bucks!! |

Got a $500 74 GMC van that was in nice shape & ran great. Since this was just my transport van, I kept it loaded & in the garage. |

Consider an aluminum box trailer like the Haulmark....You can always get your money back on a quality trailer...Well, at least most of it.....Fersure do the signs, but only attach them when at the venue or when the trailer is sitting out in your drive or front yard...The guy is right about sue happy people thinking you have commercial tags and insurance. If you get a trailer and start leaving your gear stashed in it tween gigs, then do so only if you can park the trailer in an enclosed garage...The reason is your equipment will last a lot longer....A trailer sitting outside is subjected to full sun and damp, cool nights....It doesn't take long for your speakers to deteriorate in those conditions....And you can imagine what it would do to your racked electronics. Glad you are growing!...Let's all do what we can to keep the car trunk KJ's from stealing our business and ruining Karaoke with their low quality shows and 30 buck per night rates. |
