Ok... I don't need a karaoke backing... I'm just wondering if someone can help figure this out.

FOR YEARS I've been looking for this song.... I remember listening to a tape when I was about 5 yrs old. The song is called "Daddy's Girl" it's sung by a male... and here's some of the lyrics (that I can remember)

I recall the day that you came into this world
I couldn't believe the doctor when he said "it's a little girl"
I said "now Doc, you must be wrong
You see, I want a boy"
Then he laid you in my arms
and My heart sang with joy

(little girl's choir)
Daddy's Girl
Daddy's Girl
I'm the center
Of Daddy's world
I know I'm Daddy's number 1
for he loves me like I was his son
Daddy's girl

I recall the day I took you to a baseball game
You brought along your baby doll
and half it's baby things
we sat there playing house
while the Dodgers played the Braves
and everyone in the bleachers
looked at us as if to say:

(repeat girl's chorus)

I recall the day I took you on a fishing trip
you said "Daddy, won't that hook hurt the fish's lip?
and you know if they don't get air
those things in the can will die"
so we turned the worms a-loose
and chased some butterflies

(repeat chorus)

and then.. I don't remember the last verse (something about 'your young man came to call')

Also on that tape was a story-song about a little boy on a CB radio talkin to a bunch of truckers... about his dad who was a trucker and how he died. The kid's handle was Teddy Bear... and I'm pretty sure his Dad's handle was "Papa Teddy Bear". The kid talks about how he wanted so bad to go for a ride with his dad in a big rig, but never got the chance....and then a bunch of truckers heard him telling his story and then there were "18-wheelers lined up for 4 city blocks" to give him a ride..

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHO THE HECK THIS GUY IS?? My dad says it's Tex Ritter, but I've looked up TONS of his lyrics sites and haven't found a single song that sounds familiar... anyone?

THANKS SO MUCH!!

Now that the question has been answered I have been looking for years for these songs in karaoke  Wreck Of The Old 97, Railroad Bum and The Jewel by Acuff.. I know they are not availible unless you make them with special software if there is anybody that has done this please let me know...The first song I did in karaoke (acolpoco) was Blood On The Saddle by Rex Ritter and I am quite certain they will never do it.. LMAO
