Hello everyone,
I've been downloading and creating CDG with power karaoke plus nad I created a Cue file to burn it with Nero, but only a few songs work properly in my memorex CDG player. What could it be? I'm using a CDR - 700 MB and the unit is the one of my IBM T42 (DVD-CDRW combo drive). The unit can write RAW/96.
Any help would be very good.
Best regards

two things immediately come to mind.
Power Karaoke and DART karaoke often give errors when burning homemade compilations, or their own tracks...
Also, I'd download cdrwin from goldenhawk.com
Your burner may NOT be compatible to record accurately the subcode. Only Plextors are so gifted that they as a brand work nearly everytime... sometimes you'll have a burner work once, or fine for a few weeks, and then suddenly it won't work again... I really don't know WHY this happens. Seems to me the logical way of looking at it is if it burns it once, it should ALWAYS be able to burn it.
.CUE files is a weird way to burn tracks... most people use the .bin files method for constant success.

Not necessarily true Matt. I have an ordinary burner but I can archive with no problem with discjuggler.

Hi, just thought I'd add my 2 cents here. You dont need a compatible burner to burn karaoke. I burn karaoke on my computer all the time with .cue sheets Alcoho120% burning software and a Liteon non compatible burner with almost perfect results everytime. For a great tutorial on how to do this visit this page

Look around the site cause it also tells about cdrwin, nero, .que sheets with mp3+g toolz and lots of other helpful info. I hope this helps :D

he's not creating archives, Tim, he's creating .cdgs on CDRs... that's the only reason I would think you would use a cue sheet.
Course I could be wrong here. Sure wouldn't be the first time! !

General suggestions: If the original format is zip use Mp3+GToolz to unzip (not Winzip) Another method is convert the the que.txt file that Toolz generates with CueToCd (freebie) This converts to a .cdd file which Clonecd ( a nifty little software burner) uses. Last but not least is burn at slow speed..

way to go on the Alcohol recording method!
And by the way, I've never had ONE issue with using other .zip stuff, other than the mp3toolz.
