It seems like all my life I have either been a little ahead of the pack but more often than not the last one to know. I now know how to have dual displays with an agp and a regular pci video card,  And what blows my mind is with wIN 2K it gives 2 displays and does not just double the width and stretch to get both displays.

what I am trying to do now is use 2 pci video cards to get dual display and havnt had any luck I have seen the compatible cards on microsoft kb... Is anybody using 2 regular pci video cards for dual video ... I f so what are they and which os...

With an agp dual head and a regular video card I can get 3 displays...

Under any normal windows configuration. It is not reccomended to run more than one video card. Mixing agp and pci can have terrible effects on your motherboard.
They make triple channel video cards. If you would like to run 3 monitors for what reason, god only knows, I would suggest that you use a 3 channel video card.

4) Do I have to use one card to drive all the screens.


No, you are able to team up on video card which might drive 2 monitors with a single card to drive a total of 3 screens or monitors. You could even use 3 video cards to drive 3 monitors, however the problem there is that you would be using up your bus slots on your computer and would have room for other devices requiring bus slots.


Can I add video cards and screens later when needed.
