Glad they got caught!  I owned an Audigy+mp3 and it's true that it didn't really handle the 24 bits/96k, I kept getting the message that my audio card couldn't handle this format everytime I wanted to use a Pro software :(   I finally decided to purchase an Audigy2 ZS which is by far superior!

what software are you playing with?

The hookups are simple. But I know on winamp, you have to go into the preferences and sometimes physically tell it to use the usb sound device.

One thing: I didn't install the drivers on my show pc or on another pc... so it recognizes the mp3+ as a usb sound device... I just plugged and played!

Again: if ANYBODY doesn't want their mp3+ device, send it on to me. I'll pay the going rate of $40 if you send the usb cable with it!

knightshow,
I wasn't implying that sound blaster isn't a good sound card......... I got this from a pro audio website. I did think it was kinda wrong for them to misrepresent the 24 bit audio quality when They actually are only 16 bit. I have 4 of their audigy cards, and like them. But I am currently building a Dedicated Audio workstation for editing, and mastering tracks, and I will try to find a better card than a soundblaster for it. There are true 24 bit cards out there.

I fully agree with you Dr. D and I would recommend the new E-MU1212m for what you want to do, day & night with any SB cards! This card uses the best D/A converter, in fact, it's the same has the one used in a Pro-Tool card!!
