I am in flux right now. CAVS says that the JB-99 drive can be duplicated to another drive of equal or greater value by using Symantec GHOST. The drive we have will not do that. It only backs up the small 200 meg partition.

The seller of the CAVS unit says that this method is bunk, so they use their own transfer method. He says he will give us a backup of the drive for $300.

I have been in IT for a long time. I have tried a few things but have not been succesfull in backing up this 80 gig drive onto a 160 gig drive. And the owner of the system is concerned that he'll walk into a show and turn on the system only to get no songs.

So I pose the question to you - has anyone successfully backed up the drive in a JB-99 unit? If so, how did you do that?

I Am familiar to ghost 2003. To backup the drive to another you must select to backup a drive to a file on another drive. (Not a partition to a file or a drive.) It will even work with a NTFS drive.
