Lonman; here's what I have; and I don't see a amp in so I don't guess I can go the amp route; but how about adding speakers; thanks for your input.

NRG 6-125 RACKMASTER Powered Mixer. 125 watts into 4 ohms / 65 watts into 8 ohms. 2 speaker inputs OUTPUTS. 6 channels all w/ Effects, Hi EQ, Lo EQ, Monitor, and Level knobs. 3 pin XLR and 1/4 inch jacks on each channel. Also has Effects send and return inputs, Left and Right tape inputs, Master Volume, Reverb,power amp in,main out,aux in, monitor out, rev switch, effects in & out, graphic in & out.

Two Floar monitors
2-way 12" pro audio speaker with 40 oz magnet and 2” voice coil
150 watts rms and 300 watts peak
4x10 piezo horn tweeter
two 1/4" inputs
Frequency Response: 40 to 20,000 hz
Wired at 8 ohms
102 db

I have a 125 watt power mixer and I am wondering if it's possible to add a power amp to it; so I can upgrade to higher watt speakers or add more speakers; thanks.

You can ONLY if your mixer has a "pre-amp" output. If not, then you may want to consider upgrading to a newer power mixer or components. You MAY be able to add more speakers provided you don't go below the minimum ohms. But it would depend on your current model. What model mixer amp & what model speakers do you currently run?

Looks like the practical maximum with your mixer is going to be 125W per channel. I strongly suggest as Lonman said, get an amp of 2x300W or whatever you need for your main speakers. Then connect your mixer via preamp or rec out connector to the new amp and exploit your current mixer's power for monitor speakers. Monitoring is going to be a great service for your customers. jee

You would hook this to the input of the power amp. Those speakers won't handle a whole lot more power though, so you may need to pick up new speakers as well - unless you already have a set. Provided those 2 monitors are what you are running on it currently, you won't be able to add any more speakers (unless you want to get into learning series & parallel speaker wiring). I can't find much info on that unit so that's about all I can tell you just by the specs you gave.
