I think it is the same guy. Again, I use Pioneer players. Have tried the DVD player but passed on it mainly because of the cost - if you just want to stay with the same name brand, spend the extra $$, not any better of a player though. The RSQ 505 or newer E500 are DVD/CDG (and more) players that are very good. |

I am the same individual...... I thought it would be more appropriate for the board to separate the posts in order to make it easier for others to find information on a specific product or company. I'm not trying to repeat myself, and I apologize if I give that impression Jim |

I agree with Lonman - I'd probably go with an RSQ and save some $$$. I bring along one as a backup/3rd player for DJ gigs (or obviously karaoke work). Not sure what you're trying to achieve, are you going to incorporate videos into your shows? For mobile DJ work, then you're probably looking at a larger investment for screens, not to mention the DVDs. Of course in most bar settings, you can display your DVDs in the same manner as the CDGs. For mobile karaoke work, my 13" TV usually suffices. Have split the signal for house parties to also run it through the homeowners TVs. In a more conventional hall-type setting for a video dance party, then a much larger screen(s)/projection is necessary, IMO. I will lug a 2nd larger TV to point out to the audience if doing a karaoke job in a venue like this, but for videos, I think "size" is important. |

Yes... I wan't to be able to add Music Videos to my mobile and club shows, and have the ability to use the same unit to do Karaoke. I am in the process of purchasing a projector.....which will be about 3000 lumens with DLP Technology, and a screen. I have an appointment this coming week to view some different brands. I have two 20" lcd screens that I have fitted with a truss bracket that swivels. I've used these at Wedding trade shows and they work awesome. Anyone using LCD monitors can find them here http://www.mountsandmore.com/prods/Chief-Manufacturing/FPD-110/0PCF1234.htm These work really great..... So monitors and projection is not an issue. Just looking for the player and mixer. Is there a reason why Pioneer is so much more expensive, or is it just because of the brand name? Jim. |

Jim. Brand name! Again, it's a good machine, but you're paying for the name. |
