I'd like to purchase a decent pair of wireless headphones. This would be for indoor use. There might be interference in this area around the 900 mhz range. I'd never need to be further than around 25 feet from the transmitter. Any suggestions ? |

My suggestion: Do not buy wireless headphones. I have seen or heard of no good ones up to this day. Then again, if someone can convince me that they've come up with distortion free headphones, ok, since I'm intrigued by the thought, I might even consider buying them myself. But my situation right now is, that I tried once a set that wasn't too cheap, got very disappointed and forgot about the whole fantasy! LOL jee |

I've heard so-so reviews about some of the Sennheiser makes, less favorable reviews on most Sony's. Yet $250 seemed like a reasonable limit to allow me a decent pair. If what you say is so. I might just scrap the whole idea, I don't need more junk sitting around. |

Steven, I had to come back to this topic because I found an interesting article from a pro computer magazine (Feb/2005 issue). It introduces Sennheiser RS 85-8 which is supposed to be their #1 of wireless headphones. The cost is about $270, but if the set is good, I'll be running to the store. The article referred to the basic supermarket models just as I did, that no good ones are available there so far. Since it's common knowledge how well Sennheiser is doing with microphones and professional sound reproduction technique, I think I'm gonna try and get my hands on one of those sets. At least it looks good in the picture If I can test it I'll come back with the results. Cheers! jee |
