I can't get my plexwriter to read a cd+g disc. When inserted it only recognizes it as a cd audio file.

WHAT SOFTWARE are you using with the plexwriter... I have one and it works terrific.

You'll need software that can process the graphics sub codes.  There are a number of different ones out there depending on what you're wanting to acheive.

If you let us know what you're trying to do we can make some recommendations.

I'm using WINCDG Pro 2. I work in a bar, and am doing the karaoke for my boss, with his computer. I've used my fathers plexwriter before and it worked fine. But this one just opens the files as an audio file. I know its compatible because I've used it to burn cd+g dics, which work fine in the JVC karaoke player my boss has.

Your auto load is bringing up Windows Media Player or another which doesnt read cdg's.  Would recommennd downloading Cdrwin   Here for riipping and burning.

And install the latest aspi 4.7 layer..  Then there are several players which will play and display the graphics.... Winamp with the right plugins is a freebie and works good, is a good one to cut your teeth on and we still use it for backup at shows....
