Hi, Am brand new to the site - recommended by Lady Di - and looking forward to subbing - once I get the hang of it.   :? Have downloaded AudioGrabber and Cool Edit but still experiencing problems - voice is muffled and bassie.  Any suggestions.  Site is brill, brill singers, really enjoying it.  Pete

Hi Pete,

Welcome to the site,

and what mic do you use for recording? If you are using the PC mic, that could be the reason and and singing too close to the mic will make you vox bassie

Hi Pete, there are many ways to affect the sound and one crazy idea came into my mind; borrow a mixer from someone and put it between your mic and the line in of your computer. You can then "pre-adjust" your mic by adding treble and cutting bass. That should help! :)

Hi Pete! I use Cool Edit also. I have a sound card that my mic hooks into... and always use earphones to record. I think that helps to keep the music track and vocals separate and clean. My set up is about as simple as it gets.

Welcome to the site!! Have fun!  :dancin:

Hi Badsinger, Thanks for the reply and advice.  Using Pro Mike but thru the PC.  Have amp - will try that way.  Look out for any subs.  Thanks again. Pete.
